Comfortable B&B in a spectacular manor estate and gardens overlooking the sea. Managed by descendants of the family from the 1700s who couldn't be more gracious and welcoming. The rooms and baths were sumptuous and very comfortable, the grounds were unbelievable, and the museum part of the house astounding. Guests get to experience a very grand library sitting room as...

Once we found the reception (tucked away in a corner with no obvious signage) we had pretty much walked around the entire main building. Clearly there is a need for some TLC on the exterior, but we understand that this is very expensive and difficult for the young family currently running it. The interior, however, is extremely well done -...

This is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. From the splendor of the room and gorgeous view over the harbor to the personal touch placed on everything by Sophie Marie White and her family. David, who checked us in, was welcoming and gave us a grand tour including access to the library, game room, and various other...

I had the joy of staying at Bantry House in the middle of September. It's in a beautiful location, with amazing views over the harbour and the gardens. Sophie was a wonderful host to me, showing me to my room and explaining everything about the B&B - the lounge, library, gardens, even suggesting some nice places to eat in the...

After our daring drive over Priest's Leap, we were relieved to arrive at Bantry House, although well after dark. We entered the property through an arched stone entry that lead us up a wooded drive to the castle. There are only a few rooms dedicated for guests and these are located in the old bedroom quarters of the female servants....

One of the most beautiful and stunning vistas in the world! Family owned and welcoming. Comfortable with ambiance. We had cocktails by a fireplace in the gorgeous library area. It feels like you are visiting a castle! Affordable and yet exquisite in Bantry, County Cork Ireland.

We stayed one night in the Bantry House. The place is enormous and there are only a few rooms for the B&B. It's not exactly a B&B and it certainly is not a hotel. I am not sure why they bother with rooms at all. Sophie was very nice and welcoming. It's her family home and she cherishes it. I...

This is beautiful old manor house but is not really a hotel. I have had better rooms at much lesser hotels. Having said that, this place is worth the stay for a night. The library access in the evening with the great fireplaces is worth the price of admission alone. The grounds too are quite stunning although it seems like...
