Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of September and it was our first holiday with our new baby. The staff were so accommodating and helpful from the moment we checked in. The hotel was clean and comfortable m. We ate in the hotel every evening and the food was fabulous with plenty of choice. We also used the pool and leisure facilities which was a great addition. The location of the hotel gave us a great base for various day trips to see lots of west cork. Overall it was a great stay and I would absolutely recommend. A special mention to Nicola and the other ladies at reception and Brid who looked after us at breakfast time

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel, we had such a lovely time. We had a stunning room, it was spacious & clean & looked newly done up. The lovely lady on reception, Tanita, acknowledged that we were celebrating our anniversary & a birthday, she was so friendly & welcoming. The food in the bar was great, & breakfast was just as good. The lovely lady in the restaurant sang happy birthday to my partner & the blonde lady that arranged for a candle to be put into his dessert, which was such a lovely touch. I think her name was Brenda or Bridie, such a lovely lady. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here for one night with my husband. It far exceeded my expectation. From the impeccably clean room, delicious food, great service and the leisure centre was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds around the hotel were a delight to walk around. I had never stayed here before but I will definitely be back.

Travelled with three children and have stayed here many times over the years. The staff are always so lovely and pleasant to deal with. Rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurant serves delicious food and the breakfasts are plentiful. Live music in the music nights in the bar is good fun too. Bantry is just a short walk away, where you will find a pleasing smallish town but lots to see and do.

Beautiful hotel all staff were friendly and helpful from the minute we checked in. The lobby and bar are extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our rooms were spotless and modern. The food for dinner was amazing with a great selection, the fairy trail in gardens are really sweet and nice for a stroll around. Located only a small walk from the town so it’s very convenient with views onto the bay. The price was great , we added an extra person to our room last minute and was only 40 euro bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and plentiful.

This hotel is really comfortable clean really well run. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it except for an incident which was outside the hotels control. On checking out we brought it to the receptionists attention they said take a seat and looked for the manager on duty. Arron he was very pleasant and understood our issue and immediately acted to our satisfaction. This has happened on other occasions in other hotels but the response here was genuine and if you want a lovely break we strongly recommend this hotel. The prices are very reasonable the food is top class all the staff are professional and the rooms are comfortable and most importantly when tgere is an issue its dealt with in a very satisfactory Manor. I'll be back here soon again. Tim and Carmel Thompson Co Clare

I stayed at the Westlodge Hotel on Tuesday 21st February. Checking in was very straightforward, both receptionists were friendly and welcoming. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom also was spotlessly clean. If I had a criticism, for my taste the bed was on the firm side. I dined in the hotel bar. Service was good and my slow roast pork belly with black pudding was tasty. In the morning there was an extensive breakfast bar to chose from and again the two waitresses were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed in the Motorhome parking for 2 nights. It costs €10 a night. There is water, water disposal and chemical disposal. We had food in the bar which was really nice, so much so that we went back the following day for lunch. The staff were very pleasant and allowed us to put the rugby match on the tv. Will definitely go back!
