Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just back from our second stay at Cottages for Couples, stayed in Courtyard Cottage 2. Everything was immaculate. Such an idyllic spot. Quiet and peaceful. All the necessaries in the cottage on arrival for a cuppa and a bottle of prosecco which was very kind! The hot tub was bliss even in the rain and the jacuzzi bath was amazing. Loads to do in the area too. Peter and Anna run a wonderful unique spot for a cosy break away and we’ll definitely be back next year!

Peter and Anna have made a fantastic place to stay! We stayed in treehouse 1 and it was such a treat, I hope we will get to come again! They have made a lovely, luxurious accommodation and adding personal touches just makes it more special. The hot tub was a real treat. Definitely recommend!

Myself and my husband stayed for a few days for his birthday! We stayed in Newbridge cottage which was walking distance into town. The cottage itself was immaculate. We loved the chill out area and the cinema room. The hot tub was also fab and we made great use of it. I would highly recommend it.

Having waited so long to visit cottages for couples due to our wedding having to be postponed, I can honestly say it was so worth the wait. We couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon. The hot tub is a real taste of luxury, Peter and Anna are great communicators, with loads of little nice touches when you first arrive. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that wants a nice quiet relaxing time with all your usual home comforts like sky, and Netflix. West cork is so beautiful, especially when you get the weather we did! We will definitely return and can now see why these cottages are so sought after. Hopefully we will be speaking to you again soon Peter and Anna, thanks again. Kevin and Sarah from Dublin.

We spent the weekend in Lassanroe barn and it was just spectacular. From the bottle of champagne waiting for us on arrival to our own private hot tub outside we couldn’t have asked for much more. It was the perfect weekend where we got to unwind and relax. Thank you Peter and Anna.

We stayed in the fabulous Newbridge Cottage. A must visit for any couple looking to relax and unwind. The hot tub, jacuzzi were fab. The cinema room was great, a really wonderful extra to our weekend. Anna and Peter were pleasure to deal with through out. And of course Skibbereen has a huge amount to offer. The accomodation was just a short stroll from the town center. We already have our next visit planned.

Stayed for 2 nights for our Anniversary and could have stayed for a week it was so nice! On arrival we were greeted with some lovely personal touches to the room including a personalised welcome note, bath robes and also a lovely Bottle of Sparkling wine to enjoy in the hot tub! The hot tub was perfect temperature for us to jump right in and we were lucky to have gorgeous evenings both nights to sit out on the deck and enjoy it to the fullest! The Treehouse is exactly what you see in the photos online, perfect little getaway! Small kitchen fitted meaning you can cook your meals there and not have to leave 😆 We done a day trip to Mizen Head from the cottages during our stay which id highly recommend if youve never visited before! Will definitely be back if we can secure a booking as they are booked out months in advance so i recommend booking early to get your special dates! We strolled down to the town on our second evening to go for food and some cocktails and it was only 25 mins walk!

In my many years of travel and staying in some of the most wonderful accommodations I can genuinely tell you the experience of staying in Treehouse No. 3 was like no other. It was the warmest of welcomes from our hosts who had our room set-up with robes, candles, rose petals on the bed, bubbly and our names written on a slate. The room had everything you could want for an intimate a getaway, from a porcelain bathtub in the room, a beautiful bathroom, an immensely comfortable bed, and a kitchenette that allowed us cook meals for one another. There is also a gorgeous little nook to listen to music and watch SkyTV/Netflix, however we didn't avail too much of as we spent most of our time in the pièce de résistance - the private hot tub that sits outside on the decking, high up among the the trees! Everything is just so cosy and spectacular! What more could you ask for!? Everything is well explained by the hosts, Peter and Anna, prior to your arrival and they really do pull out each and every stop to ensure you have the most unforgettable experience! My partner and I felt refreshed after our stay and are already planning our return next year!
