Just back from an amazing staycation in Skibbereen, West Cork. We stayed in the Bridge House B&B with Mona Best. This is a very unique and special B&B and Mona is herself a very unique special person. She looked after us so well, we were sad leaving. Her home is very comfortable and her breakfast very tasty. Mona paid particular attention to ensure her home met and exceeded the COVID standards thus making you feel safe. This was something which was important to us.

We stayed in Móna's Bridge House B&B for 3 nights. We were so well taken care of. The breakfasts were so filling and delicious. And the room and bed was so comfortable and spacious. The B&B is located in the heart of the town and a short walk to many restaurants and pubs. I couldn't recommend Móna's B&B more.

We recently stayed at The Bridge House B&B in Skibereen and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Mona is a wonderful host and she was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She was always ready to help and made sure we had a comfortable stay. It's obvious that this is a labour of love for Mona.
It was like visiting a different film set as we peeked into each of the rooms - the house is packed full of interesting and unique curiosities that add to its charm.
Mona also prepares a mouthwatering breakfast every day with a different menu each time.
Overall, The Bridge House is a wonderful place to stay. The house is full of style and character and Mona is a fantastic host. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

We stayed here two nights and loved it! Mona is a great host, she gave lots of tips and information on the area and what to do. The room was clean and the bed extraordinarily comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of fruit, definitely on the healthier side! And the decor leaves you to discover new things any time you look around. Definitely would stay here again!

We booked with Mona for one night whilst traveling to see family and friends. I had an immediate and friendly response. Upon arrival, parking on the (side) street was easy and only a few feet from Mona's amazing guesthouse. We were greeted at the door by mona who showed us our room and made us feel welcome and at home immediately. The decor is eclectic and something interesting to see in every corner. we went out for dinner and drinks nearby and came back to a really comfortable bed, and good hot shower. As we got up for breakfast after a quiet and restful night, I certainly wasn't expecting the spread that Mona put on for us. Great coffee, 2 courses of locally sourced produce including a beautifully presented fruit dish and full Irish breakfast. Everything was delicious. We had a chance to chat with Mona after breakfast and she is entertaining and lovely. If stopping in Skibbereen for a night or a week, I would not hesitate to recommend Monas Bridge House to stay at.

I booked this place for myself and my partner after we missed our bus to Clonakilty. We were pleasantly surprised. The Bridge house is a Victorian themed BnB the decor was super wacky full of curiosities the room was comfy like a cosy nest and really homely. Definitely one of the most unusual places I've stayed in. Mona the owner was lovely and took super good care of us and put on a good spread. Thumbs up all round. Thanks Mona. Would highly recommend for people who appreciate eccentricity

Mona was an incredibly generous host. We slept in an outrageously comfortable bed and awoke to a delicious breakfast!! The bathroom was well kitted our - the shower delightful. A nice atmosphere coming in from the street below as it is so central, but never too loud late at night. We slept well :)

Mona is a very kind lady and helped us out in our time of need when our camper van broke down and our only option was to stay in a lay-by or try get something late last evening, She made room for us even though she was limiting the number of guests. The house was spotless and we felt very safe staying there. The b&b is definitely the quirkiest place I’ve ever stayed and a lovely experience, and the breakfast was so good I was fit to burst!! Thank you Mona

Mona runs the most zany, eclectic, creative guesthouse, the warmest welcome to be found anywhere. It’s has been voted “The most unusual B&B in Ireland and I am not surprised.

It’s a treasure throve, zany on a whole new level. We delighted in taking in all the curious beings that live there and Victorian and vintage items.

Mona is the kindest funniest host, her breakfast was delicious and a grand affair. We stayed in Lis Ard estate the night before and hands down Mona’s breakfast was streets ahead. She is warm funny and took great time with us to make our stay as pleasurable as possible.

House was spotless, breakfast delicious , bed so comfortable, warm and cosy. We loved every moment of it . We shall be back. My daughter is 10 and was captivated by the wonder of it all.

Arrived in Skibbereen with nothing prebooked and spotted this colourful housefront without noticing the plaque proclaiming it the winner of "Ireland's Most Unusual B&B" competition, so everything was a complete and wonderful surprise. Mona's home is an ongoing, constantly evolving art installation where an eclectic mix of objects and paintings achieve a quirky, creative harmony. Every room is different, and unique, yet it all "works". Her artistry extends to the substantial and beautifully presented breakfast. Location is perfectly central too, so you can have that drink with your dinner. I recommend this wholeheartedly.
