I rented the garden cottage and stayed with my family- three kids and two adults, and we thought it was like entering a magic kingdom. Although dated the cottage was very clean and really spacious. it was really well equipped and then even better when the owner delivered a huge pile of logs for the fire and farm fresh eggs....

Our 4 day stay was wonderful. We loved the house with its magnificent chandeliers and lit fireplaces, and were well taken care of by Jessica and her family. Her mother provided us with generous and excellent breakfasts. The garden is magical, huge, rambling and full of places to discover. Look for the walled garden its vegetables and fruits - wild...

My husband booked this for us as a treat for the long weekend in August. It is a wonderful place to stay and we really enjoyed it. It is run by a charming family that are very welcoming and professional and personal. The house has great history and it is fascinating to hear the story of how it has been...

I've read harsh reviews here about Glanleam House, the gardens and even the owners but I have to say my experience has been very different from that of those reviewers. We stayed in the Boathouse which is one of the self-catering cottages on the estate. This house is situated right down on Glanleam beach - a beautiful location! The house...

I never do reviews. I am making an exception. Stayed here the August bank holiday weekend 2016. What a gem of a place. Came across it by chance. The house is so tranquil set amongst beautiful gardens. Stunning views. Very comfortable peaceful rooms. It has old style charm yet very clean and well kept. The hosts were exceptional. Extremely inviting...

The gardens are not the most manicured ones, but they are just amazing...!!You can actually feel the dedication and love the owners do put in here!! The breakfast was by far the...

This home is in complete ruins. we arrived late at night and the bed had no sheets on it. We slept in our clothes and left in the morning. there is no resemblance to the home pictured in the "Hidden Gems of Ireland: brochure. They made many excuses for the neglect of the house and property but the bottom line...

Do not waste a single cent of your money here. The new owners have let these once beautiful gardens go to wreck and ruin, and have the audacity to charge a small fortune to enter. Such a shameful act of wilful destruction and will only serve to bring the island into disrepute. Disgusted.

I simply adore the west of Ireland. Not only is the region incredibly beautiful, but there is such a delightful lightness in the spirit of the people you meet there. I only wish I had discovered this part of the world earlier in life! On this trip we were doing a circular tour, starting in Wexford and then slowly moving...

That was my second visit in this place. First time I was there on my own and gardens looked stunnig. But that was 4 years ago. This time I decided to show it to my wife. We came there and left our car on car park next to Glanleam House. No one was there so we took a walk into...
