The great Mortimer has passed away to God's Campsite, but members of his family continue his legendary standard of hospitality. Stands are arranged in small individually-named paddocks with many facing the stony beach and sea inlet. Full range of facilities includes a music room which hosts regular (and irregular) sessions. During our visit we had a memorable trad music concert featuring some of Kerry's best-known players and singers. Iffy wi-fi. About 2km into Caherciveen and a large church named after a politician- Danie O'Connell.
We’ll I can only say that this was my second visit to “Mannix Point”Motorhome park and again I had the most fantastic experience here. Charlotte is in command and nothing is to much for her to do for you. From checking you in and saying goodbye she is there for you. Fabulous toilets and showers and a state of the art campers kitchen with everything you need to cook your meal’s. The views from the site all around are stunning. Great space between the pitches so your not on top of each other. Mannix Point I will be back without a doubt! Thank you Brian.
A gorgeous campsite with incredible views. Very well maintained facilities. It has a really magical feel in the air. We absolutely loved it. Plus the owners Terry, Charlotte & lovely mum couldn’t have been more of a delight. Very helpful and charming.
Great campsite in a stunning location, brother and sister owners made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. We ended up staying an extra night as there is so much to do in this stunning location.
What perfect spot and recently taken over by a charming young man. Location amazing , views of the Shannon and surrounded by mountains. With the current owners new ideas mixed with his uncles foresight I'm sure this site will flourish. I truly hope to come back again. When we spotted this destination on a picture at the mohone show in Birmingham we new we had to go. Lovely little touches with a communal kitchen/cooking area. Plates fridges cutlery and microwaves. Covered outdoor space and even a snug with log fire if needed. Bathrom facilities were spotless, unable to comment on showers and we had one on board . Walking distance to bars and resgurants. We even walked a couple of mike to the car/foot ferry and dpent a few hours on the island of Valencia.
Beautiful campsite with all the necessary amenities. Every pitch has a stunning view and on a clear night you can see thousands of stars across the sea. Lovely friendly welcome made us feel immediately at home. Thank you for two wonderful nights - we wish it could have been longer!
This site is welcoming from the minute you arrive. Pat on reception is a lovely gent. The facilities are clean, showers are €2 but you have loads of hot water and enough time to have a long shower and wash your hair. Kitchen and laundry are excellent. Sitting room/music room is an added bonus. The social area is a great way to meet and chat with other campers. The views from the site are spectacular. Based right on the waters edge with mountains, sea, castle, sun set, birds, everything you could wish for and more. The town of Caherciveen with its many shops, is just a few minutes by car. There is a big centra shop just outside the site. We are just home, we visited for three nights with our two little dogs and only wished we didn’t have to go leave. Will be back soon.
+: very friendly welcome, very nice location, lovely evening in the music room singing together, friendly advice with regards to continuing our trip -: campsite is not very clearly divided - also not very handy to park, you have to pay extra for the showers (why not have an price which includes this?)
Van pitch was good - great view but expensive. Way too crowded for the tent folks - more like tent city. Toilet block too small and tiny kitchen for the number of people. Toilets blocked early evening, still blocked the following morning. Reminded me of Glastonbury toilets. Not pleasant. Would not recommend due to overcrowding and lack of maintenance
Such a great place to visit, first time camper so got somethings wrong but this location is fantastic.Slept to the sound of the sea and seabirds.Pity fridge so small couldn't fit my milk and small bits of food, this was my only complaint. I went with my two teenagers who are always on their phones , they loved it even when phones went out of charge no complaints.9/10 (no milk for morning coffee due to fridge issues) only reason it's not a 10.
