In June 2016 we were riding round the Irish coast on a motor-bike. On our first night it rained and our tent started to leak. The next morning Mortimer and his helper were so helpful! Mortimer gave Paul a lift to a really good ironmongery in Cahersiveen, so that he could buy adhesive stuff. We put up the tent in...

Short story: the best camping site & owner I have seen in my life. Long story: me and my friend visited Mannix Point in June 2015. So long ago TripAdvisor won't even let me select that date. We were hiking in Count Kerry and decided to stay the night at Mannix Point. That day we were walking the streets of...

Great place, lovely view and the most helpful and friendly owner you could imagine - as if you were visiting your own grandfather. There is a well-equiped, large kitchen, a cosy sitting room and a nice terrace. Highly recommended!

I can honestly say words cannot describe County Kerry, she is beautiful. The drive down to Mannix Point Cahersiveen was breath taking requiring stops along the way to take it all in. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mortimer, and shown around what can only be described as the most beautiful, best facilitated, camp site I have ever stayed in,...

What a wonderful review. Thank you very, very much. When I opened Mannix Point in 1984 I set out to achieve exactly what you have described.... "The communal music room as an absolute gem, we spent the evenings with the warmth of the open fire only matched by the warmth of the open atmosphere where strangers rapidly became friends sharing...

The warmest welcome, best facilities, glorious scenery, great supermarket nearby, attractive little town with some unique cafes, not to mention real French bakery. We come here as often as we can when motorhoming in Ireland, 3 times so far this year, & never disappointed. Thank you Mortimer, looking fwd to the next time allready!

Spent two weeks travelling around Southern Ireland in September and October in our Camper. Mannix Park was one of the true highlights in early October. We hadn't anticipated having the use of an extensive kitchen, comfortable lounge facilities with a peat fire, and a friendly welcome to come back to after a day walking in the hills! Well laid out...

Hello Jonathan. Thank you for your great review. I am happy to know that you enjoyed your time here even though it was very quiet at the time. I hope you can get here at a busier time when you come again. There can be a great atmosphere with people from various parts of the world. Cheers. Mortimer.

This camping site had anything we could hope for and more. Camping beside the sea and especially the great indoor kitchen for campers and the lovely music room with a fireplace were highlights. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all the best camping site I have ever visited!

The scenery and the facilities are unsurpassed but what really makes Mannix Point special is the people. When I stayed in September, Mortimer and his team were so helpful - from helping me to hitch my caravan, to mending my glasses and getting me out of a scrape when my car broke down. The ever-burning turf fire in the music...

Its hard to put Mannix Point into words but i'll try anyway. There is no campsite In Ireland that can compete with the welcome you get at Mannix point. Mortimer (Your host) is a gent, if you want a quiet night you can have that. Or if you are like me and about 99.9% of the people who come here...
