Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is magical. It is great for families of all ages, couples, girls trips, etc. There is so much to do, the grounds are impeccable, and the food was delicious. We had our 1 yr old son with us and we didn't feel out of place, like we were a burden, or anything. Would highly recommend coming here and I'd love to return for more than 2 nights.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed for 5nights, we could not fault the service, food or the hotel in any way. We enjoy every minute we spent there. The room was clean, warm & very comfortable. We went on all the walks around the grounds and loved the murder mystery walk in particular. There was always a Gluten Free option at every meal & it was always delicious. The staff looked after us very well and we always felt relaxed. We used the pool and jacuzzi every day. I have since I have been home recommended it to others.

Dear Fiona_Mor, Thank you so much for taking the time out to complete a review and share your thoughts with us. I was delighted to read that you had a wonderful time and seemed to enjoy all of the facilities including our new addition the Murder Mystery Trail. We are very lucky to be located in such a beautiful location surrounded by some of the most breath taking scenery by the famous Kenmare Bay. Thank you again and I look forward to welcoming you back in the hopefully not so distant future. Warmest Regards Karel Soudny Guest Relations Manager

Situated in the beautiful setting of Co.Kerry, 5mins drive from the town of sneem & 20 from kenmare. Amazing welcome on arrival with the pleasure of being upgraded to a room with a view. Very friendly and professional staff throughout. Easy check in, guided to our room, Room was spacious and comfortable beds. The spa is a must, along with strolls along there trails or a swim in the sea. Plenty of activities for all to enjoy We where late arriving for dinner (9:15pm) but they accommodated us with pizza (however we didn’t enjoy the pizza, wasn’t greatly cooked) Whilst told we didn’t need to book in for breakfast the following morning we found it unusual that when we did arrive we where told to take a seat in the lobby and await to be called, there where multiple guests hoovering around the entrance to the hotel /lobby area awaiting to be called for breakfast - very unusual for a 5star hotel and quite messy. Breakfast itself was standard and had the usual spread a hotel would have but we had a beautiful view to look at. We had treatments in the spa which was amazing, very relaxing and a great massage, hotel has outdoor hot tubs / private beach / walking trails / kayaks / boat trips / kids games rooms & playground. Plenty for everyone to enjoy. Would definitely recommend a visit to this hotel

One is very grateful to Ryan Air in flying from Manchester or Liverpool to regional airports such as Kerry. The journey by Ferry to Dublin takes all day.I left Manchester at 9.45 and arrived at the hotel at 1 pm.The only negative is the the expensive car hire for five days. Parknasilla has been around since about 1850 and has enjoyed many great characters such as George Bernard Shaw.It is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever visited.I have been going for over 30 years and love it more on every visit. One need not move from the hotel grounds and simply walk the islands and sit and take in the beauty of the view at so many different locations.Spoil oneself and go to Derrynane beach and see another great wonder of Kerry. I always felt Wicklow was an exceptionally attractive land but Kerry is simply a rugged great beauty. The staff are very friendly and genuine, prepared to do anything for you.The hotel is so user friendly. The food is fine but it’s all about location..location. If you want to refresh and return home so much better you will do well to find a more beautiful place. Sort of like it!

Just back from a 2 night stay and wishing we could have stayed longer. This is our 5th time visiting, this time for my husbands birthday and again, we were not disappointed. From the moment you drive down the avenue you know you’re somewhere special; from the great welcome on arrival to the little touches at the birthday dinner, it’s just perfect. We dined in both Doolittle and Pygmalion, tried the pool and hot tubs and did the Murder Mystery tour, which was great fun, as well got our steps in while enjoying the magnificent views. Can’t wait to return!

I understand why generations of Irish have made their way to this remote resort spot on the wild Atlantic Way. The resort itself is ever so warm and inviting - old and comfortable but never stuffy. The two restaurants put out nice dishes - not surprisingly, salmon, lamb and duck are the best of them - this is Ireland after all. The wine list is thoughtfully chosen with selections from many wine regions. Shout out to the sommelier who is a very knowledgeable person and enthusiastic about sharing what he knows. There are two lunch pins - one is the resort spa - wonderful variety of treatments and great facilities. The other is the 500 acres of woodland and shoreline hiking trails with th amazing views from every angle. Parknasilla brings on to the premises a marine biologist who presents twice a week - he is not to be missed. And neither should the local raptor expert be missed - his three owl presentation was a highlight of our trip. There are at least two companies offering boat cruises around Kenmare Bay - we did one of them - which included a lunch stop off down the bay and it was great fun. There is an outdoor murder mystery truck that takes you around the property - this was fun to do with another couple and involved an invigorating walk. If we had anything to suggest it would be to put some board games or puzzles into some of the parlour rooms. This would be a welcome addition on a wet or cold day.
