We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms are basic, but for such a low price you couldn't expect more. Everything was just perfect. The bathroom was clean. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. Our beds were very comfortable, and the front desk attendant was very kind. He upgraded our room for free! I will definitely stay here...

I'm giving this 5 stars because as a hostel it IS five stars! It's not a fancy hotel, it is a spotlessly clean hostel with dorm rooms, bunk beds, quiet location, a large walled in yard with plenty of space for tables to relax and even a safe area for bicycles. It appears new - the bunk beds were sturdy,...

When you enter to the hostel, it looks like a nice place but this is so far from the reality. The water in the shower is boiling with no option to control the temperature and the shower room is extremely dirty. The sheets for the bed are at least as disgusting as the kitchen. I will never come back there.

Outside looka very nice!Room was ok, kitchen and utensils were very sticky, we washed evrything before using it, house was cold, but not cold enough to light a fire, said the owner. Junk and stuff in evry corner of the groundfloor.

Stayed in this hostel over the summer and have to say that I had a very enjoyable stay :) Each of our rooms were spotless clean and the owners were exceptionally welcoming. Also have to say, that having having seen the pictures that one reviewer poster on this site I was a little anxious as to what kind of a...

Clean and good room, neat and refurbished around the sleeping areas (though a very cold bathroom). Interesting back yard. Slightly untidy kitchen and eating area, but very easy-going use-and-take-whatever-you-want (including some very nice pastry pies, supposingly leftovers from the coffee shop) atmosphere. Very nice warden with lots of information about the area.

Had a really enjoyable stay in the Ferry House with two of my friends who were cycling along the West coast of Ireland! We got the ferry across the Shannon and arrived in Tarbert around midday. Unfortunately when we arrived it wasn't open so we contacted the number on the door and told us they'd be around in the evening....

We arranged this hostel by internet and phone for one nights accomodation for a group of 12 motorcyclists doing a roadtrip of Ireland. The exterior and first impressions of decor' etc were good but do not be fooled. We had requested the use of the communal kitchen facilities advertised on booking, when we re-stated this request to the proprietor he...
