Last year we stayed 2 weeks at one of their cottage rentals. This year we only had 1 night in the area and stayed at their B&B which was just lovely with terrific views. The host is a terrific lady who made us feel right at home. An impeccably clean and comfortable room and the breakfast the next morning was excellent. She also suggested a terrific place to have dinner at the Glenbeigh Hotel which was excellent. We hope to return next year and the year after and.....

My fiancé and I recently spent three nights at Hillcrest House. I don't think you could find a better B&B. The location is remote enough to be peaceful and relaxing, but not so far from things that it's a hassle getting anywhere. The en suite room we had was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and Bridget so friendly and accommodating. We cannot recommend Hillcrest House highly enough, and hope to return some day!

We stayed at Hillcrest House for three nights as part of a getaway trip. There is little in the immediate vicinity (the Red Fox is a decent pub and a manageable walk), but Glenbeigh, a few km in one direction and Killorglin in the other will give you pretty much everything you need, and you are within an hour's drive of a lot of things to do and see. The B and B was clean, quiet, and our hostess was attentive and helpful. Breakfast was pretty much standard, prepared to order and quite tasty.

Highly recommended. Charming lady owner, comfy beds, big fluffy towels, plenty of tea/coffee etc in room. Immaculately clean. Lots of easily accessible sockets (a must in this day and age). Fabulous views. Red Fox pub (tasty Irish stew) within walking distance. The best breakfast ever, incl. lots of fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and a choice of well cooked hot dishes. Fantastic value for money. Warning: this place is so good you may not want to leave!!
