This is our fourth time staying in the River Island Hotel and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay once again. Our family celebration was great and the staff in the hotel made us feel so welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was definatley 5* quality. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Wonderful stay at the River Island who also organised a family reunion. Willie on the front desk was such a gentleman and all the staff were so kind and obliging. Great restaurant in the hotel. Geraldine was a lovely waitress. Great value for money. I cannot fault the place, although wifi was only available in the lobby which was a...

Was a lovely old building. The fish and chips was delicious for dinner. The room was clean, a little dated, beds were comfy. There was a hungry, neglected, barking dog in the yard adjacent to our room which was disturbing. The room was a tad airless, the window hardly opened and there was no fan in the bathroom. Free wifi...

1st off this is the only hotel in Castleisland, so choices are limited. We stayed one night, room only, a couple with 2 kids. Reception staff lovely and welcoming, room fine (bog standard) clean and reasonably priced. No leisure facilities, pool etc. Extremely friendly and helpful manager (or owner?) a man. We didn't eat in the hotel at night and...

We stayed in the hotel for a week. There were several coach parties but the service was excellent and there were no delays. Very clean and comfortable room. A great base to explore South West Ireland. A nice to river walk 2 minutes from the hotel. I would definitely like to go back to River Island.

Easily the two main plus points of this Hotel are its totally wonderful Staff and the central location. Very lovely welcome upon arrival, and great service throughout our stay. We appreciated the kindly late-night Bar service after our busy days, two individual full Irish breakfasts especially cooked for us after the breakfast buffet was cleaned out by a coach party,...
