We are a B&B located within the Town Centre and within easy walking distance of all shops, restaurants and pubs. A long standing family owned B&B - Regina was born and grew up in the house. We take pride in our hospitality and always try to ensure that our guest enjoy their stay. Please ask if we can help out in any way. Kingstown House B&B is located in Clifden, the Capital of Connemara and is wonderful central base for touring all of Connemara. All the bedrooms are located on the first or second floors. If you prefer a room on the first floor, kindly let us know.

We found this B&B purely by chance and what a find! The premises were pristine .the welcome by Regina was warm .The facilities were excellent and the property was right in the middle of Clifden . After a great night's sleep we were treated to a delightful homecooked breakfast with homemade breads. Fabulous !

We stayed here in May for a cycling weekend. Regina is the owner and she was lovely and friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Regina made sure we were happy and well looked after. Breakfast was gorgeous and there was no shortage of it. We will definitely be back, would highly recommend. 5 stars.

I arrived on short notice to this little B&B. After driving the entire way from Belfast, I was put up here for the night (18/09/21). There was a bit of a miscommunication between my boss and I, which seen me travel a day early. Anyway, I came to Clifden to partake in the Arts Festival, my role was to supply fireworks on the Saturday evening from Sky Road. I arrived just after 6pm on the Friday evening to be greeted by a woman at the B&B, who showed me to my room. The room was plenty, with ensuite showering and toilet facilities. The B&B itself is in an amazing location, which is literally 40 yards to McGraths bar or 50 to the nearest bar the other direction. I choose to eat in Mannions bar, because everywhere else was packed out. So the location is perfect. I slept well with no noise or disturbance, in a pretty comfortable bed. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was great. The woman who met me on Friday on entry must run the B&B as she was serving breakfast. This woman could absolutely not do enough for you. All you had to do was ask, and it was never any trouble. The woman also told me I could hang around that morning as long as I needed to, as my boss wasn't due to be on the fireworks site until around 1pm. You wouldn't get that anywhere else. The B&B isn't anything special to look at from outside, but it is a fabulous little spot with a great host. I will definitely make a point of coming back again. Thank you kindly, William the fireworks man 👍

The Kingstown House is a friendly, comfortable and charming location in Clifton. Our hosts Regina and Jim were attentive to anything we could have asked for. Our rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The rooms were large in order to hang items and put suitcases out of the way. Bathrooms were spotless with clean fresh towels. We all loved the smell of the handsoap. Wifi was always working with no problems logging in. The breakfast cooked by both Jim and Regina was just so delicious, the perfect Irish breakfast. We were close to area shops and restaurants right in town centre. At night the area was quiet and perfect for sleeping. Parking was so easy right outside the house or in a lot close by. Jim and Regina gave us great dining options and ideas on where to head out for the day. Regina even baked my mother a delicious chocolate cake for her 80th birthday. How sweet is she? Regina also hand knits scarves and hats. I will always stay at Kingstown House when I am in Ireland.

Stayed in Kingstown House at very short notice and the lady of the house was so accommodating and welcoming! Very central to Clifden town (1 minute walk to main area) and they provided lots of info on best places to visit and eat. Rooms are basic but lovely and homely! We had a wonderful time, thanks so much.

We spent the night here on our trip trip Ireland. Regina and Jim were very welcoming and accommodating. I contacted them before our arrival to say we would be getting to town early and asked if they would hold our luggage. The answer was a yes and they actually let us check in early which was super nice. Clifden is a small town so the location was perfect for walking and breakfast was very good.

I had a one night stay in Clifton and the Kingstown House was a perfect place to stay. The owners put care into every detail in order to make your stay perfect. Regina carried my bag up the stairs for me and made sure I had the town map. She was quick to answer questions about parking, where to eat, etc. the room itself was a good size with plenty of room to hang items or place things, including a luggage rack. The bathroom was fully tiled, plenty of soft towels, and just small touches that demonstrated their hospitality. The breakfast was wonderful with homemade brown bread and plenty of choices. I appreciated the use of linen rather than paper napkins and the elegant set of the table. It is not an upscale, fancy hotel. It is a home that strives and succeeds to make each guest special! Thanks for the lovely stay.

We stayed here for one night with our daughter, her husband, and their nine month old baby. We had two rooms across from each other. I would give five stars, but though this is an very nice B&B it’s not, in my opinion, fancy enough for five stars. We weren’t looking for a five star place so we liked it a lot. It was very clean, the owners were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this B&B for a nice stay in Clifden, which is a lovely town in a beautiful area!

Fantastic hosts and Regina and Jim could not have done anything more to enhance our wonderful stay. Wished we had of found this place earlier and stayed longer. The breakfast certainly set you on your way for the day. Easy street parking outside and just around the corner from some great pubs.
