I arrived on short notice to this little B&B. After driving the entire way from Belfast, I was put up here for the night (18/09/21). There was a bit of a miscommunication between my boss and I, which seen me travel a day early.

Anyway, I came to Clifden to partake in the Arts Festival, my role was to supply fireworks on the Saturday evening from Sky Road. I arrived just after 6pm on the Friday evening to be greeted by a woman at the B&B, who showed me to my room. The room was plenty, with ensuite showering and toilet facilities.

The B&B itself is in an amazing location, which is literally 40 yards to McGraths bar or 50 to the nearest bar the other direction. I choose to eat in Mannions bar, because everywhere else was packed out. So the location is perfect.

I slept well with no noise or disturbance, in a pretty comfortable bed.

Breakfast on the Saturday morning was great. The woman who met me on Friday on entry must run the B&B as she was serving breakfast. This woman could absolutely not do enough for you. All you had to do was ask, and it was never any trouble.

The woman also told me I could hang around that morning as long as I needed to, as my boss wasn't due to be on the fireworks site until around 1pm. You wouldn't get that anywhere else.

The B&B isn't anything special to look at from outside, but it is a fabulous little spot with a great host. I will definitely make a point of coming back again.

Thank you kindly, William the fireworks man 👍

My family and I stayed at Kingstown House as part of a bike tour. Great location and Regina was so welcoming! Every detail was taken care of including getting our bikes out of storage for a ride in the morning while at the same time cooking breakfast for everyone! Highly recommend if you are in Clifden.

The Kingstown House is a friendly, comfortable and charming location in Clifton. Our hosts Regina and Jim were attentive to anything we could have asked for. Our rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The rooms were large in order to hang items and put suitcases out of the way. Bathrooms were spotless with clean fresh towels. We all loved the smell of the handsoap. Wifi was always working with no problems logging in. The breakfast cooked by both Jim and Regina was just so delicious, the perfect Irish breakfast. We were close to area shops and restaurants right in town centre. At night the area was quiet and perfect for sleeping. Parking was so easy right outside the house or in a lot close by. Jim and Regina gave us great dining options and ideas on where to head out for the day. Regina even baked my mother a delicious chocolate cake for her 80th birthday. How sweet is she? Regina also hand knits scarves and hats. I will always stay at Kingstown House when I am in Ireland.

We found this B&B purely by chance and what a find! The premises were pristine .the welcome by Regina was warm .The facilities were excellent and the property was right in the middle of Clifden . After a great night's sleep we were treated to a delightful homecooked breakfast with homemade breads. Fabulous !

We stayed here in May for a cycling weekend. Regina is the owner and she was lovely and friendly.
The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable.
Regina made sure we were happy and well looked after. Breakfast was gorgeous and there was no shortage of it.
We will definitely be back, would highly recommend. 5 stars.

After 5 hours by car (we arrived around 11 pm) and without have a reservation in Clifden where pass the night, we found this amazing place were stay. Jim (that was relaxing in the sofa) was really really friendly with us despite the time!!! this B&B is really nice...the rooms are big, comfortable and really clean!! the breakfast was so generous and tasty!! we are grateful to Jim and Regina also because they helped us to find another accomodation for the second night (unfortunately for us they were fully booked for the second night) and they gave us advices for the places to visit in the Connemara. If you are looking for an accomodation in Clifden there is only one answer: KINGSTOWN HOUSE!!!!

"All rooms upstairs. Choose those at the back of the house for quieter night, although double glazing keeps most of the revellers noise out."
