Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We needed three single rooms for three nights which is not that easy to find in Clifden at an affordable price. On the positive side, the location in the centre of Clifden is ideal and in easy walking distance to the town centre restaurants and shops. There's good parking available too. The rooms were excellent, comfortable and very clean. Our host was welcoming and informative. The breakfast was first class. On the down side, the guest lounge was closed (due to Covid-19, we were told) and there was no tea / coffee facilties in the rooms. The host provided a tray with tea and kettle in our rooms when requested - but we had to ask. The TV in the rooms have only Saorview Irish stations which is quite restrictive. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Clifden is the shining star of the Connemara, and Dun Ri made for a perfect base for a night. Free parking is available just outside the B&B, in a quiet lane off the main drag. Check in was quick and efficient, rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was a good spread, even for us vegetarians.

Friendly and helpful service. Our campervan broke down and we needed a room. Dún Rí sorted us out with a room straight away. We were able to store or bikes too. Breakfast was lovely, we made good use of the lounge watching a movie one night and they even gave us a lift to the garage which was very kind.
Clean, comfortable and centrally located. A great place for exploring Clifden and the surrounding areas.

Stayed a night at this lovely B&B, and it was so good that we returned the following week. Rooms were really boutique-hotel standard, breakfast was fantastic, with lovely pancakes for the vegetarians in our group. Hosts and staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable. Another bonus is how central the guesthouse is, A couple of minutes walk takes you to the centre of Clifden. Will definitely return!

We were very lucky to get a room at this guesthouse. We thought it would be good as the previous reviews had said. It exceeded our expectations. You just know you are not going to be disappointed from the minute you enter the guesthouse. Fab decor, fab food and fab hosts. It is located on the street but still very quiet. We slept very well. Breakfast is amazing. Homemade bread and jams. The website is a bit out of date but is being updated. We will be back.

Arrived in Clifden around tea time on a really busy weekend. Accommodation we had arranged fell through and my husband and I started cold calling on accommodation doors to try and get sorted. Fortunately Michael and Aileen juggled around rooms to accommodate us and our stay turned out to be very pleasant. Their guesthouse was exceptionally clean, well facilitated and not overly expensive. They refrained from taking advantage of our situation and made us more than welcome. Breakfast was very healthy and well prepared with good choice. Their staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this BnB in this lovely part of Connemara.

We were camping nearby and had to pack up due to storm. Stumbled across this little gem and will definitely be back. Great location. Rooms immaculate, wifi excellent. Great hot showers. Breakfast fantastic, great choice of food and staff were really friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting an affordable but great quality service. Thank you.

Have stayed here several times and always recommend it to friends as a superb alternative to the hotels as the staff and service is more personal. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is always great. The location couldn’t be much better either with the towns bars and restaurants a very short walk away. And free parking here too. Nice chat with the owner and their little dog gives it that homely feel. Give it a try.
