The reservation was part of a whole made by Abbey Tours in Dublin. As we were arriving a young woman with a baby under her arm came to me, followed by an older one who looked like her sister. I had to say Hello, as I did not hear anything coming from their side. The younger one said that "we were waiting for you"... we were on time so I did not understand what she meant. The key was given and the room shown in a few seconds, we were asked at what time we would take breakfast and what we would take and she was gone, like she was happy to get rid of us. Plastic disposable glasses in the bathroom, I had never seen that before, I did not know that we were camping! Is it too expensive to buy two Ikea glasses? When I arrived for breakfast, I looked for tea bags but the box I opened was empty! I took another choice, no big deal but I said to the young lady that the box was empty. She said nothing and took the box away, without asking me if I wanted that kind of tea. I don't know how much we paid for this room, but it is too much. I must add that I was awake at 5 am because the curtains are transparent, so I did not sleep well at all. Furthermore, the bed was hollow and the sound insulation was poor. When I gave the key back and said that we were going away, I did not hear any Good Bye. It gives the feeling that the young lady is interested in our money and that is all. I wrote a mail to Abbey Tours to tell them that we were unhappy. I would not recommend this B&B because I think that the young owner must learn about Irish hospitality.…
Our start was a rough one. We got lost trying to find this Bed and Breakfast and when we arrived on the day of our reservation around five o'clock we pulled up to an empty house. All lights were off and no cars were there. We drove to the neighbors and they were able to contact the owner and she came rushing over, only to turn the heat on for the first time in what felt like months. The stay was a cold one, and I know they tried their best to keep a fire going in the lobby and the heat going through the night-but it was not enough to heat the room. We were unable to sleep due to our very loud upstairs neighbors (no fault of the owners of course just very rude guests). The next morning we were met with a very delicious breakfast and beautiful views but it was hard to make up for with the rough start, we had booked two nights but chose only to stay the one. I know our stay could have been different if the start off was better and welcoming.…
