This BnB is fantastic. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Bedroom decorated really nicely. Bed very comfortable and nice to have feather duvet. Breakfast delicious, top quality ingredients. Very well priced stay. Much superior to some hotels where you would pay double the price. Couldnt fault anything. Thanks Ruth and Stuart.

Excellent property with gracious hosts, Stuart and Ruth. They take pride in making their B&B a five star experience! And breakfast….Great coffee and a choice of many items on the menu! But above all, Stuart and Ruth are wonderful people, treating their guests like family!

Ruth and Stuart are absolutely lovely! They confirmed our reservation very quickly and provided us with cabs' phone numbers, and indeed we needed one to get to the start of our hike. Because all cabs were fully booked we had to change our City Link bus from Galway to an earlier bus, so we could drop the bags and get back in time to get the bus to Recess cross, and they have been very flexible with this and were kind to keep our bags before our room was ready. The room was lovely, very comfortable, spotless, and....oh the view in the morning!!! Breakfast is very well organized, guests are booked for a certain time, and a form needs to be filled in the day night before with our selection. Breakfast was lovely! We checked out at 10.30am and again they kept our bags while we walked to the castle and to the beach which was nice again from them. We would love to go back and stay more than one night! Go raibh mile maith agaibh Ruth agus Stuart!

We stayed for 3 nights in a Deluxe Double en suite Room which was outstanding, both in size & comfort. Excellent Hosts, Stuart & Ruth, were attentive & made sure that we had everything we required. The Breakfast choices were second to none, beautifully presented & freshly prepared. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Property to anyone & look forward to staying there again! Thank you for a wonderful experience in your beautiful home!! Pamela & Jim

Stayed 3 nights at Hillside Lodge as a large family grouping of 8 (ranging in age from 10 to 80+). We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking a return visit. The breakfast at Hillside is amazing...in terms of choice and quality! Stuart and Ruth are lovely hosts and their accommodation is spotless. A super place to stay, a short distance from beautiful Clifden.

We stayed three nights and loved our stay. The weather was miserable and rainy but our hosts were friendly and welcoming. There is a distinct musical ethos to the house......decor, style, artworks and musical instruments. Everything was clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed and black out type window blinds. Tasty and varied breakfast menu with veggie/vegan options. I enjoyed chatting with Stuart about music and bands......and Bob Dylan! Stuart & Ruth know how to be friendly and engaging without being intrusive. The downstairs lounge has a treasure trove of books to read. No hesitation in recommending to other travellers.

This is one of the best B&Bs in Ireland without a doubt. The place is amazingly decorated and the rooms are super comfortable and extremely clean. The location is excellent as it is just 5 minutes drive from town and a short walk. Besides the sky road has such beautiful views for a morning jog. Breakfast is 5 stars and a la carte with makes thing even nicer. They also let you have "special requests" in case you want somethin additional. Ruth and Stuart are magnificient hosts although I must say the jewl of the crown is Treacle. A gorgeos and sweet black lab that will make you fall in love in seconds. But seriously Ruth adn Stuart cannot be more polite, kind, and accommodating. They will also give you the best tips to go wander around Connemara. I cannot recommend this place enough and I cannot wait to go back.
