Friends had recommended the marconi restaurant in foyles hotel to us. We arrived at 6.50 pm and were advised we could early bird. Starters, mains and desserts were gorgeous. Staff were excellent and very professional in doing there job, always smiling. The restaurant was full all night. Would highly recommend this hotel/restaurant for dinner. I cannot praise staff food etc...

Well run, clean hotel where everything works well! We had a triple room which was huge and incredibly good value. After some very average hotels and b&b's in our Tour of the West Foyles was a dream offering a fantastic central location, quality breakfast with real juice and proper coffee. Staff are friendly and efficient. We would use this again...

This hotel is right in the center of Clifden and the street side room was very comfortable. We were fortunate to get street parking across from the hotel as there is no on site parking. The hotel is showing it's age and could use a freshening up. The included breakfast was good and the service pleasant. The Wifi was sketchy...

I have never written a review on a hotel before but feel that this place is so bad, I'm writing it whilst in my room. For the last three nights I have been woken up at various points in the night by loud drunks (bar in the hktel), TV's in the various rooms and people talking in corridors. The hotel...

Whilst following the Wild Atlantic Way down the West Coast of Ireland we were sorry we only stayed here for one night as everything about this hotel suited us. The rooms were spacious, the staff helpful and interested in our trip and as for the food - it was up there with any Michelin starred restaurant. It may look a...

My wife and I stayed here two nights as part of a week-long trip around the north and west of Ireland. It was our first visit to Clifden, although we are regular visitors to most parts of Ireland. I selected Foyles from Tripadvisor's website and were very happy with our choice. As others have noted, the rooms were large and...

Very reasonably priced 1-night stay, we arriv3d on spec and were given a spacious, comfortable room at the front of the hotel on 2nd floor. Lovely crisp, white bedlinen, huge bathroom, relaxing pale grey decor. (There is no elevator so this room may not have been suitable had we been elderly.) Unfortunately there was no availability for a 2nd night,...

We enjoyed our step-back-in-time overnight stay at Foyles. Right in the centre of the town, great welcome and huge rooms. Lovely staff and delicious breakfast. Would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy an old-style hotel.

We stayed here two nights with my family and it was great. I had been to Clifden before and stayed at another hotel that was terrible, so I was a bit anxious about Foyles. However, it turned out to be great! The rooms were large and clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The decor is a bit old and...

We have just returned from a great family break at this hotel. The hotel is dated but the quality of service provided by every member of staff here more than compensates for this. Food in the Marconi restaurant is top class. The breakfast is very nice and served hot to your table as distinct from the Buffet type provided in most...
