We spent 2 nights in an amazing house. Everything was perfect: huge room with small lounge area, very large comfortable bed made every morning, very varied and high quality breakfast. Direct access allows you to reach the cliff in around ten minutes, with a magnificent view. John and Kathy are adorable.

This is an absolutely wonderful B&B. It’s on the Lower Sky Road, which is just a short car ride from Clifden but feels absolutely remote and wild. There are great views from the property’s coastal walk, as well as from the ride to and from town. (By the way, we were apprehensive about the road from Clifden given what some reviewers have said, but, seriously folks—it’s paved all the way! It’s a one-lane road, but OK, if you don’t know how to drive on a one-lane road you probably shouldn’t be driving in the west of Ireland. It was perfectly fine.) Our room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean. The bed was great. And Kathy is a fabulous cook: we had three gourmet breakfasts. She offers three options, and you should be sure to try them all. Best breakfasts I’ve ever had at a B&B. She and John were also very helpful with advice about Clifden and about the area in general. John even booked us dinner reservations, and he steered us to the right pubs to hear traditional Irish music, which was fantastic and not to be missed. Kathy and John have been running this B&B for many years now and they clearly love it. They’re warm, helpful, accommodating hosts. And Connemara is so beautiful! Among other things, we recommend the ferry to Inishbofin, and the Diamond Hill hike. We truly loved this place, and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else if we were in the area again.

What can I say. Once again, Ardmore House made our holiday.
Kathy and John offer a consistent high quality B&B experience which is more akin to a boutique hotel.
Knowing that your hosts are thinking ahead and working hard to ensure you’ll have a relaxing stay takes stress out of selecting accommodation.
Spotlessly clean rooms with all amenities in a tranquil, scenic setting. What more could you want?

Totally enjoyed our stay in Ardmore House. Kathy and John were most friendly, welcoming and helpful. Really enjoyed our chats. Our room was so comfortable, quiet and all areas spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. Pantry area is a great idea and we loved the walk down to local cliffs to watch the sunset. Views out to sea from this locality were amazing. Totally recommend a stay here and hope to return again soon.

We received a very warm welcome from Kathy & John. Spotlessly clean. 6-foot double bed with an Emma mattress and lovely soft linen was super-comfortable. Great breakfast choices focused on local produce. The private walk to the nearby cliffs overlooking Clifden bay and Errislannan peninsula, including a surprise lily pond/picnic area en route was a real treat. Will definitely stay again.

Kathy and John are very hospitable hosts. Both the house itself and its grounds are very well kept. The nearby cliffs offer excellent views of the sea caves and arches as well as distant lighthouses, lovely for an evening walk. Breakfast is excellent; good luck finishing it all! Best black pudding I’ve had.

The Ardmore House exceeded our expectations. We loved this charming, clean, quiet and comfortable B&B. The walk out to the cliff is pretty special (easy stroll with beautiful views). We especially appreciated Kathy's awareness and flexibility when we arrived as very weary travelers! We couldn't have asked for a better start to our Ireland vacation and hope to get back here again. Thank you to Kathy and John for an excellent stay, delicious breakfast and for sharing your beautiful home and land.

This is hands down the nicest B&B I have stayed in anywhere. Rooms are large, well decorated and immaculately clean.. House is located in a picturesque area outside of the town of Clifden. The owners are gracious and warm; helped us plan our day, made our reservations for dinner, and served a delicious breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic location just below the famous Sky road near Clifden in Ireland. Super neat and very spacious, sunny room. The couple who run the B&B are very friendly and helpful. Behind the B&B there is a path built towards the cliffs where there is a beautiful view
