Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We received a very warm welcome from Kathy & John. Spotlessly clean. 6-foot double bed with an Emma mattress and lovely soft linen was super-comfortable. Great breakfast choices focused on local produce. The private walk to the nearby cliffs overlooking Clifden bay and Errislannan peninsula, including a surprise lily pond/picnic area en route was a real treat. Will definitely stay again.

Fabulous accommodation in a very scenic and tranquil setting. The hosts Cathy and John were exceptionally nice. Amazing breakfast with huge choice and well laid out. My room was very large, with a very comfortable bed. It was decorated to a very high standard and had a lovely modern on-suite bathroom. Would highly recommend this Bed + Breakfast. Thanks Cathy and John 😀

Absolutely very friendly hosts. The best we can say: it is an all-round happy package. Large room, delicious breakfast and an absolute peace. A spectacular cliffway with romantic little resting corners completes the whole. Just a bit outside.

Kathy and John are very hospitable hosts. Both the house itself and its grounds are very well kept. The nearby cliffs offer excellent views of the sea caves and arches as well as distant lighthouses, lovely for an evening walk. Breakfast is excellent; good luck finishing it all! Best black pudding I’ve had.

Totally enjoyed our stay in Ardmore House. Kathy and John were most friendly, welcoming and helpful. Really enjoyed our chats. Our room was so comfortable, quiet and all areas spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. Pantry area is a great idea and we loved the walk down to local cliffs to watch the sunset. Views out to sea from this locality were amazing. Totally recommend a stay here and hope to return again soon.

What can I say. Once again, Ardmore House made our holiday. Kathy and John offer a consistent high quality B&B experience which is more akin to a boutique hotel. Knowing that your hosts are thinking ahead and working hard to ensure you’ll have a relaxing stay takes stress out of selecting accommodation. Spotlessly clean rooms with all amenities in a tranquil, scenic setting. What more could you want?

This is hands down the nicest B&B I have stayed in anywhere. Rooms are large, well decorated and immaculately clean.. House is located in a picturesque area outside of the town of Clifden. The owners are gracious and warm; helped us plan our day, made our reservations for dinner, and served a delicious breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!
