Last Saturday my wife and I had one of the most memorable meals we have had in quite a while. The menu to say the least was really quite breathtaking with 8 starters and 14 main courses. I chose the smoked duck pastrami as a starter with the braised beef speciality as a main. They were both delicious and I...

We had a great visit while in Clifden. Room was large and clean and shower was very hot! The room was a bit warm but we just cracked a window for fresh air. The breakfast was great and staff at the hotel were very friendly, however they didn't seem very knowledgeable about the town. Scenery surrounding is absolutely beautiful. Would...

This hotel is tired, dated and cold. Myself and a group of friends stayed here recently and were not impressed by the rooms, cleanliness or heating system. On the first night none of us could have a hot shower, the tap on one of the bath tubs wouldn't turn so the bath had to be filled from the shower. The...

Stayed here during the summer. Fantastic location and even though there was no parking on-site clear directions were given on check in of the best place to park. Nice homely feel in reception area and bar, breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious with plenty of bread/croissants and fruit/cereals also. Room was clean, however TV is literally tiny and it's a...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am happy that overall you enjoyed your stay. We did have a serious leak on the night you stayed and it was a little chaotic for an hour or so. We thought we had got to talk with everyone affected, and we laid on free drink in the Bar that night to...

Can't fault the hotel. Didn't use restaurant facilities only the room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and quick. Staff that I met were very friendly. We were using the hotel as a base to sample the restaurants and pubs locally. For what we wanted I can't fault it.

Hotel is ideally situated in centre of town. Busy as Art Festival was on. Reception area quite nice . .Room was in fair condition . Carpet rather stained and there was a lot of mould on bathroom ceiling . View from room not great as roof from first storey jutted up infront of window . Bed fair . Only duvet...

We visited here with a tour for the Clifden Arts Festival. Clifden is a lovely city, and the people are so welcoming. The quality of the food is quite good. The employees are wonderful. We had a party of nine. For a fixed menu, it took 75 minutes to get our entrees. Additionally, we didn't get clean glasses when our...

The first thing you see when you go upstairs is a sign informing you that because they have a liquor licence you must buy your drinks from them, even in the privacy of your own room. You are not allowed to bring your own unless you pay a corkage fee. I don't think so, I paid for the room, it...

Hi there, Sorry our sign annoyed you. Sometimes little things can annoy people so its good to get this feedback. As with most hotels, when guests ask for wine glasses, ice, wine coolers, etc., we charge a corkage fee. This is not unusual. Most people prefer to buy their wine from the Hotel, as it is of a very good...

The service is spectacular. We were greeted with a warm and happy welcome. The lady at the info / check in desk went out of her way to help us with a private matter. We couldn't have asked for more. The location is ideal and offers easy access to cafés and pubs. Thank you!

I found this hotel to be right in the centre of Clifden,2 minutes walk from plenty of pubs restaurants and shops,it is an easy going relaxed family run hotel, my room was spacious and the bed comfortable, wifi was good, breakfast was lovely, and the cosy little bar was great to have a pint of Guinness and chat to other...
