Detailed Reviews
My recent stay at Cregg Bed and Breakfast was exceptional. I cannot sing enough praises for this charming establishment. Mary and Hugh were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The beautiful gardens, artfully decorated home, delicious Irish breakfast (with lots of options and fresh pressed coffee), and convenient location right along the bike path all contributed to an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend Cregg Bed and Breakfast to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway. It was an absolute dream and an example of Irish hospitality at its finest!

A very Irish welcome with this lady pruning her magnificent show garden.
The room is spacious and practical. The view of the Connemara landscapes is a treat when you wake up.
The breakfast is very good with wonderful salmon (other choices are possible of course).
A bonus point for the incredibly maintained and beautiful garden and our very friendly host.
We will come back for sure.

We slept 2 nights at Cregg House, good bed, large room, very clean bathroom, very tasty breakfast. The landlady is very accommodating and friendly. A bit remote on the road towards Galway, with a fantastic garden, it blooms wherever you look. You need the car to eat in Clifden.

We spent one night at the B&B. It was the best accommodation during our holiday in Ireland. The owner is very friendly. The room was big, quiet and clean. Our room had a beautiful view of the Irish countryside. The breakfast was very good. It takes a few minutes to Clifden by car. We can highly recommend the B&B.

Mary was a very kind host, she helped us when our car was broken down, and even drove us to Clifden. The B&B is nice and clean, the breakfast is good, and you can choose from an extensive menu. The wifi is very fast. It is located outside of Clifden, about 3-4 km. But Mary will tell you how to walk a very lovely path into town.

After a 4 hour Journey from Cork City we where just tired and wanted a place to sleep. But in the end we got way more. The Family is really friendly and the location is just lovely when you prefer to have a rest. You have the opportunity to take a 1 hour walk to the City Center or just 3 Minutes drive by Car. The price for Saturday night was VERY good Value for Money and the Breakfast was delicious. The Lady of the House told us about a special place around this area which was the most nicest place I've ever seen. This is the place to stay if you really wanna see Connemara.

My newly wed husband and I happened upon this gem along our travels from Shannon to Clifden today. It was a miracle considering everywhere else was booked tight. The room is private, with its own bathroom. Wifi, delicious breakfast, tea, TV and comfortable bed was all provided. We are so grateful to have been able to stay and highly recommend it :)

Mary the hostess was superb. The Bed & Breakfast was immaculate, quaint and quiet. Only a short drive from the town center, the B&B nestles inside a scene of the secret garden. Thanks for sharing your magical piece of Ireland with us Mary. Expect us back!!

The drive leading up the house a blaze of colour on both sides. The rest of the beautiful garden shows the results of a labour of love. We particularly liked the view through the dining room window to a fine yellow lily set in a gap in the hedge and revealing a beautiful panorama of Connemara beyond. Our room was very spacious and we liked our breakfast.

After staying two nights right in Clifden town, I moved out to this B&B which is about a half hour walk from town, a 3 minute drive. Mary is lovely and I enjoyed chatting with her. The rooms are modern, clean, uncluttered and beautiful. There is a beautiful walk right across the street from them that leads to town, and all around the B&B are sheep and a couple horses. Mary was kind enough to offer me lifts to and from town as I wasn't traveling with a car. I would recommend this B&B to others, as my stay here was comfortable and inviting!
