We booked the King Room but the room we were given was not as shown on the website. In fact, as we discovered after we had left, the room we had is shown on the website as a single room. The bed was not king size and was too small for us as well as being rather uncomfortable. As we had booked for three nights this was rather unfortunate as neither of us slept particularly well. The bathroom was very small but at least there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good with a good variety to choose from. There is nowhere to eat nearby so a car drive into Clifden is needed to find places for dinner. This wasn’t too much of a problem for us but it could be if you like to have a drink with your evening meal.
Unfortunately was only able to stay 1 night in Sharmore. Could not fault it. From check in with Sue, quality of room, location and the breakfast. Will make a point of coming back. Can’t recommend enough that you pay a visit
Stayed here for one night. A great location with a short drive from town centre Plenty of parking Great and friendly welcome from Sue who was lovely A lovely room, 4 with amazing views Small problem with shower head Delicious home made breakfast Would highly recommend
We had a wonderful time at the B&B. Sue was extremely helpful and accommodating, and made an amazing breakfast! The view out of the windows throughout the B&B were beautiful. This is a perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing trip. I suggest taking the short hike down to Clifden Castle while there.
I spent three nights at Sharamore House recently and was blown away by the place. The views from my room were wonderful, the bed very comfortable and my host, Sue, could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts are a specialty here both in terms of the range and quality on offer. Do try Sue’s Sharamore Special! For me, it was particularly lovely to find original local art on the walls of my room as well as throughout the house.
Stayed in this lovely b&b in early sept. The room was a great size and the views were stunning. The breakfast was quite good and the hostess and her staff were very friendly. Would certainly stay here again.
Sue was incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for restaurants. The B&B was well set up for Covid precautions, I felt safe both walking around the building and at breakfast. The breakfast was amazing!
We had a fantastic stay at Sharamore House! The room was very comfortable and spacious, Sue was very friendly and welcoming and breakfast was great! The location is also fabulous- a very short drive into Clifden and some lovely views from our window! Our booking also came with free entry into Kylemore Abbey which was very handy. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend Sharamore House.
We stayed for two nights at the end of August and really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, the area was gorgeous, and it was just a short drive into Clifden town. The B&B is also situated on the Sky Road, which boasts some absolutely stunning views. Our booking also came with free entry into the fantastic Kylemore Abbey. Sue and John are great hosts and I would definitely recommend staying here.
We were a party of four and were warmly welcomed by Sue and John for a 3-night stay. The B&B is about 1.5 miles from Clifden. It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were splendid! A great choice of traditional and unique...YUM! On our first day, we went out deep-sea fishing with John, which was a wonderful experience with majestic views of the Galway/Mayo coastline. The second day we spent touring Clifden/Roundstone/Ballyconneely. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
