Detailed Reviews
Sue was a warm and welcoming host who provided loads of advice on walks and sights to see. The bnb is in a secluded location next to the Sky Road and has stunning views. The rooms were clean with comfy beds and an amazing shower. The place is decorated with lots of unique art. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice including pancakes, full Irish and eggs benedict. There was also some gorgeous stewed fruit to have as a starter. Will definitely be back to stay here. Perfect getaway.

what a lovely place!! we stayed in a double room with a view of the inlet and land beyond, with gorgeous feathery duvet and luxurious shower. it was no trouble leaving our stuff down sooner than check in so we could go adventuring, Sue was so accomodating, as were all the lovely dogs!! the breakfast was fit for a hobbit, we enjoyed a beautifully prepared bowl of spiced fruit and yoghurt, quite possible the most delicious pancakes in existence and the sharramore special, which was so thoughtfully presented and sheer perfection. we only stayed one night unfortunately, but this house is such a comforting place i know i'll revisist that time often in my mind :))

Our stay at Sharamore House was lovely and I would highly recommend it for a visit. Sue was very welcoming and accommodating. The room itself was lovely, very comfortable and very clean. It felt more like a hotel room, it had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast here was so good!! It is a great base for exploring Connemara and very close into Clifden, where there is a great choice of pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Included in our stay were tickets to Kylemore Abbey which was a lovely added bonus. Overall a great B&B and we will definitely be back again for a visit!

Sue was incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for restaurants. The B&B was well set up for Covid precautions, I felt safe both walking around the building and at breakfast. The breakfast was amazing!

We stayed for one night only and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner, Sue is very nice and welcoming.
It is located outside of Clifden, you will need a car, but it is worth it as the room was quiet.
Make sure you have breakfast, can recommend the Sharamore special if you like smoked fish.

Had a lovely stay in Sharamore House this week. Sue was very welcoming to her home and was very helpful with any advice we asked for. We had a really comfortable room with a fab view across the lake. The breakfast was fabulous, a menu with a great range of choices made to order. I can highly recommend the pancakes - my friend opted for smoked salmon which she also said was gorgeous. We would definitely recommend Sharamore if touring in the Clifden area.

Spotlessly clean welcoming great rooms and a fantastic ambiance .
The choices at breakfast were generous and delicious . Sue and John were fantastic hosts .
Add the fact that John runs probably one of the best fishing boats on the west coast of Ireland .The selection of fish and styles of fishing covers all levels of experience.
The day before we arrived for the umpteenth time he had caught and released yet another massive blue finned tuna .I would go on the boat just for the views and the experience alone .
I can not recommend the experience more I will return with my friends at the earliest possible chance.
Cosmo Spence.

We booked the King Room but the room we were given was not as shown on the website. In fact, as we discovered after we had left, the room we had is shown on the website as a single room. The bed was not king size and was too small for us as well as being rather uncomfortable. As we had booked for three nights this was rather unfortunate as neither of us slept particularly well. The bathroom was very small but at least there was plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was very good with a good variety to choose from.
There is nowhere to eat nearby so a car drive into Clifden is needed to find places for dinner. This wasn’t too much of a problem for us but it could be if you like to have a drink with your evening meal.

This is our fourth trip to Ireland and we have mostly stayed in B&Bs. We just completed a two day stay at Sharamore House near Clifden. It was a lovely home with a great view. The house was nicely decorated and had lots of great art.
Our room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities including television, hair dryer, internet and kettle. The breakfast was excellent with many delicious choices.
Sue was an excellent host. She was very friendly and was able to provide great suggestions for sights to see , scenic drives to take and places to eat.
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Sharamore House to anyone visiting Connemara.
