Lovely, interesting hosts. Lovely well equipped rooms (without going OTT) with comfortable bed and homely decor. Cosy and quiet, with lovely views over the loch and rural surrounds. Plenty of space to park. Not too far from town or Claggan harbour. But without doubt, the big bonus is the outstanding breakfast menu. Every evening we got back from eating out in town, I was already looking forward to my quality breakfast the next morning. Who cares if the weather is bad when your accommodation is this good. Thanks for a lovely stay, Sue. We will be back.

This is our fourth trip to Ireland and we have mostly stayed in B&Bs. We just completed a two day stay at Sharamore House near Clifden. It was a lovely home with a great view. The house was nicely decorated and had lots of great art. Our room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities including television, hair dryer, internet and kettle. The breakfast was excellent with many delicious choices. Sue was an excellent host. She was very friendly and was able to provide great suggestions for sights to see , scenic drives to take and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Sharamore House to anyone visiting Connemara.

We stayed for one night only and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner, Sue is very nice and welcoming. It is located outside of Clifden, you will need a car, but it is worth it as the room was quiet. Make sure you have breakfast, can recommend the Sharamore special if you like smoked fish.

Sue suggested we walk the Marconi trail because it was scenic and flat and easy. We loved the trail and the scenery and the sheep! Sharamore is very well run and organized. Note that check-in isn’t until 5:00pm. Best breakfast eve4! Try the pancakes and sausage. Yummy. Comfortable room with view of the water. Steep stairs to the room. Lots of local books and guides to read. Walsh’s deli in Clifden has good sandwiches and desserts for a picnic. Lowry’s Pub in Clifden has great traditional Irish music.

Absolutely spot on, would definitely recommend. Stayed for one night with friends on a motorbike trip covering the Wild Atlantic Way. No issues whatsoever, clean tidy and an excellent breakfast. Sue the owner even ran us into town for the evening.

Had a lovely stay in Sharamore House this week. Sue was very welcoming to her home and was very helpful with any advice we asked for. We had a really comfortable room with a fab view across the lake. The breakfast was fabulous, a menu with a great range of choices made to order. I can highly recommend the pancakes - my friend opted for smoked salmon which she also said was gorgeous. We would definitely recommend Sharamore if touring in the Clifden area.

We booked the King Room but the room we were given was not as shown on the website. In fact, as we discovered after we had left, the room we had is shown on the website as a single room. The bed was not king size and was too small for us as well as being rather uncomfortable. As we had booked for three nights this was rather unfortunate as neither of us slept particularly well. The bathroom was very small but at least there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good with a good variety to choose from. There is nowhere to eat nearby so a car drive into Clifden is needed to find places for dinner. This wasn’t too much of a problem for us but it could be if you like to have a drink with your evening meal.

Unfortunately was only able to stay 1 night in Sharmore. Could not fault it. From check in with Sue, quality of room, location and the breakfast. Will make a point of coming back. Can’t recommend enough that you pay a visit
