We missed the coast near Clifden on our last trip to Ireland. This time we stayed at Seafield House. Everything was top notch. Hostess Sinead was charming and helpful. Great home cooked breakfast and the cliffs behind the house were the location for wine and cheese at sunset for the end of our vacation. Awesome views. Don't miss this spot.
Such a lovely home and hostess! Excellent breakfast. Clean, updated rooms and very comfortable beds. The home is on the Atlantic and you can walk to cliffs over looking the ocean. Great location for exploring Clifden and the surrounding area. Communication with her before our arrival was quick. Wish we could have stayed longer than the 2 nights we were there!!! Only thing to note is that Lower Sky Road (and Upper) are typical Irish narrow roads. I was happy that we arrived during daylight. But PLEASE don't let that discourage you to go to this excellent B&B!
An amazing location and great hospitality. The room was spotless clean, the bathroom could compete with starred hotels! The breakfast superb, especially for the quality of food. Will certailny be back
We stayed at Seafield House for 2 nights whilst visiting Connemara. Our host Sinead was very welcoming both upon arrival and throughout our stay. Sinead assisted with places of interest to visit and things to do in the area. Breakfast orders were taken a little promptly upon arrival, but I guess this was ok. Breakfast was good, not a huge amount of choices but certainly adequate and nice quality. Our Accommodation was nice, decent ensuite room, central heating was on which was needed to warm up those chilly September evenings! Excellent wifi !! Plenty of space for parking. Only down side is that the mattress was a touch hard for me, but that's likely a personal preference. Location wise about 10 to 15 Minutes drive outside of Clifton, but well situated on the Lower Sky Road with great views and cliff top walks just minutes to the rear of the B & B. Seafield House provided a great base for us for 2 nights! Sinead certainly is a great host and I definitely would recommend staying here. If had not been for the mattress I would have rated 5* Thank you Sinead for our lovely stay at Seafield House!…
Very nice B&B in a beautiful location. The rooms are excellent, as is the breakfast. You can take a walk to the nearby cliffs, and see a lot of wildlife on the way! A little out of town, but I think well worth it for the location.
Wonderfully quiet spot along the coast. Amazing views from the rooms, lovely walks to the cliffs and breakfasts were filling and delicious. Great location to launch a self-guided tour of the Connemara region. Highly recommended.
My husband and I stayed at the Seafield House with our daughter for one night although we wish it was longer. What a beautiful location. The property behind the house overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and it's absolutely spectacular! Sinead was a lovely hostess and made us a delicious Irish breakfast complete with bread, jam, fruit salad and a lovely table set with china. Definitely should have planned an extra day to explore the area along Sky Road and the beautiful landscapes in Clifden. Very clean B&B!
Met all the requirements we seek in a B&B for a short stay. Excellent facilities, nice location, good food and above all a friendly, helpful host - or hostess on this occasion. A tricky drive from Clifden but well worth the effort.
We stayed last night in Seafield House located on Lower Sky Road in Clifden. Very narrow windy road out of Clifden. Fantastic views over the coastline and islands. Very welcoming, helpful hostess. House is clean and modern, breakfast great. The only negative is that both my wife and I banged our heads on the vey low ceiling. (Attic room). Don't let that put you off it is still a very good B&B!!
We were travelling around ireland and Connemara and of course Cliftden was a must see. This was a beautiful location , the B& B was spotless and very comfortable - hosts - Sinead and family couldn't do enough for us on the fantastic Sky Road... with views to marvel at! will return!
