Connemara Country Lodge An amazing, wonderful experience. “If you ever go across the sea to Ireland.” As you drive down along the Irish western seaboard towards Clifden, just on the outskirts of the town you will notice the impressive Connemara Country Lodge. A fabulous, large Georgian house which is owned and managed by the charming and hospitable Mary Corbett. On... More

We loved our stay with Mary. She was very welcoming with her warm personality and hospitality. We so enjoyed her sense of humor. She was so very accommodating and helpful. The location is perfect - only a few minute walk to town and her breakfasts superb! My husband said she made the best pancakes he ever had! The rooms were... More

Exploring lovely Ireland and we were so lucky to find ourselves in Clifden. We were so pleased to find this place available. Mary, the owner is quite wonderful and welcoming with a genuine hospitality that was much appreciated. Her Bed & Breakfast is lovely. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean (loved the dressing table with a hairdryer and an outlet... More

The hotel is clean, but the walls are so thin. When the person in the room next door goes to the toilet it sounds as if they are urinating on your head, not good. The breakfast was only ok, the eggs had been under a heater for a long time and the portion of black and white pudding are so... More

Driving on the road toward town her Lodge screamed "stop here" with her bright welcoming flowers all along her porch. Our greeting at the door was warm by her sweet daughter. Breakfast we a most pleasant surprise. The breakfest offering was diverse with options and very tasty. But Mary's playing of her violin/fiddle, flute and finishing with a song litertally... More

Nice location within walking distance to the sweet town of Clifden with plenty to keep tourists busy and see. The B&B is quaint and welcoming, and the singing and music that Mary provided were nice stories of the culture and history of Ireland. Breakfast was delicious and we able to have a great time in our short time there. A... More

Mary was a delightful hostess, friendly and so incredibly helpful and kind. Her daughter Stephanie and father, John were also so nice to us, it was a wonderful introduction to Ireland and the country's lovely people. I hope to go back and stay again! Breakfast was delicious, and the talented Mary sang and played for us after breakfast. All in... More

Nice big house in very quiet area and good location. Comfortable bed and warm blanket. Breakfast was disappointing. If you don't order an Irish breakfast don't count on a buffet which was the poorest I've seen in an Irish B&B and I've visited more than 10 so far over 3 years. I ordered a "cheese platter with tomatoes" hoping I can... More

Mary, her father John and her daughter Stephanie, are what really make this guest house such a wonderful place to stay. They are incredibly warm and welcoming and really make you feel like you're part of their family, not just a guest. They have loads of great advice on places to visit and eat at. Mary also provides musical entertainment... More
