Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Classic décor, comfy bed and the food was fantastic. Very accommodating! There was plenty of parking and it was quick and easy to get into Adare from this country home. Thank you Pauline for the wonderful stay!

Had a great visit at the Elm House! Pauline is very sweet and super accommodating and helped us a lot with our trip to the beautiful village of Adare. Our room was so pretty and comfortable and we had an amazing full Irish breakfast in the morning! I really regret not being able to spent more than just the one night here and hope one day I'll be able to come back.

Spent one night here, even though it was a touch out of town, it was well worth it! Host was so kind and authentic, she even drove us into town for dinner! Room was quaint and the next morning she made us a traditional Irish breakfast - very delicious! Wish we had more time to walk through the garden. Would definitely recommend!

We didn't reach Adare until late afternoon and we had to leave very early in the morning, so unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time at Elm House, but in our short time there, Pauline went out of her way to make us comfortable. First, we had a beautiful room, one of the most beautiful rooms we've ever stayed in. We had plenty of blankets, including a super-warm fur blanket that made us feel like royalty. The location is great...just a short 2 minute drive outside of town. The area is very quiet & when we opened our windows, we enjoyed the occasional sheep/cow sounds from the nearby pasture. We had an early flight the next day, so we were not able to sit for a full breakfast, but Pauline insisted on preparing a continental breakfast for us. We truly appreciate that she was so kind & we wish we had more time to stay. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night during a week of wild and cold Irish weather. Pauline was so kind and welcoming! Our room was lovely and the bed so comfy with warm, heavy blankets and a heated pad on the bottom! We slept so well in the country quiet! In the evening after a very nice meal at a pub Pauline recommended, we sat in the parlor with the lovely fireplace glowing. Truly one of our favorite memories of our time in Ireland! The breakfast was fabulous and Pauline was accommodating to my vegetarian choices. Such a delightful stay!

Three of us stayed over after working with photo and video at a wedding. Booked at short notice and the host Pauline was wonderful. Two of us were vegans which she catered for by buying in soya products. Comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Lovely house with tasteful vintage decor styling.

Pauline is in a word, an Angel. She is warm and calming. She offers help as well as tea in the afternoon. She is a a lovely welcoming host and definitely puts her special touch in everything she does! Very cozy and comfortable rooms and atmosphere! I slept the best I had in a long time there. I would recommend Elm House again and again and will come back if I have the opportunity to visit again.

Pauline is so welcoming, warm and friendly. True Irish hospitality. A great place to relax in the quiet of the countryside yet close to town. My breakfasts were delicious also. The room was just the right size when traveling solo and the bed was very comfortable too.

Loved our stay with Pauline at the Elm House. Everything was perfect hospitality! Stayed the first night and enjoyed Adare. Next day made a day trip around the Dingle Peninsula and then back to Pauline's for the second night. Loved it!

My sister and I stayed at Elm House in March for a week. Pauline was very welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Her breakfasts were delicious and included cereal, fruit, yogurt and an Irish "fry". The rooms are clean and quiet and the beds very comfortable, with electric blankets. Adare, once described as "Ireland's prettiest village" is just over a mile away, with its Heritage Centre, antique and clothes shops, cafes and restaurants. I will be going back to Pauline's on my next visit and I would recommend a stay at Elm House without hesitation.
