we booked a few days midweek break at Aisleigh guest house in carrick on shannon and what a wonderful stay we had . after a particularly difficult last 15 months with the covid pandemic , health problems of other kinds and the loss of 2 of my wifes brothers (non covid) we were in need of a break of any kind . so we found ourselves arriving in carrick on shannon ,had to give the guest house owner Charlotte a call to get final directions as our sat nav had decided to go into meltdown , she came out to meet us with in 10 minutes and bring us the last few km's to our destination. our room was at the font of the house and despite being alongside a very busy road (N4) the room was surprisingly quiet and we slept very well during our stay . the room was on suite with a nice sized shower cubicle and a handwash basin inside the room itself . a small tv gave access to the irish tv services which was adaquite enough for us . the room was clean ,the beds so comforable and the bed linen fresh and well aired. .the guest lounge was at the front of the house and very spacious with a large tv if you wanted to watch while relaxing in there . the dining room was very clean and the tables laid out so as to comply with all the covid regulations currently in place . breakfast menu was very good , plenty of choice with cereals , fresh fruit and yogurt , fruit juice and preserves ,with a hot breakfast also available - a 'full irish' was the order of the day for us as we planned to spend a good few hours fishing on one of the many lakes in the area ,the breakfast set us up for the day . all in all i can honestly say that Aisleigh guest house is one of the very best places we have stayed in .the room ,service ,food , the peace and quiet and the lovely garden made for a wonderful ,relaxing stay , the owners ,Charlette and her husband, were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them - even offering us a lift into town and back .. we have stayed in many different hotels ,guest houses ,b&b's ,camp sites etc over the years and being former hoteliers ourselves we understand more than a bit about the industry and its ways . i can not recommend Aisleigh guest house highly enough, it has to be one of the very best in the country and the attention to detail from the owners makes it even more perfect . we will defiantly be staying there again ,carrick on shannon has become one of our favourite places ,so much so that we are thinking of relocating to the area in a few years time .

On our drive to the Guesthouse we received a call from the owner stating that the Guesthouse was overbooked and she was looking for an alternative.
Upon arrival in Carrick on Shannon I called the Guesthouse and was told that they did have a room but if we preferred they had a house in the centre of town we could have instead. As the Guesthouse is about 2km from town we opted for the house.
I’m not sure if the house is regularly used for guests as it’s very dated looking but it was fine for us and the location was really good.
The next morning we went to the Guesthouse for the breakfast (it was offered that the breakfast could be brought to us but we were passing the Guesthouse on the return trip anyway), the breakfast was nice, standard B&B fare and more than enough to set you up for the morning.

Absolutely love our short stay! Room was so comfy and clean. Our dog was made feel really welcome and breakfast was unreal. We will be back. Best dog friendly place I have stayed. Thanks again can't wait to come back.

We stayed at this lovely guest house for two nights. We were made most welcome into the homely and peaceful accommodation. The rooms we stayed in were excellent, warm and comfortable which we appreciated as the weather was quite bad. Breakfast was very good and we were able to relax in the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble.

Comfortable place to stay and use as a base in Carrick on Shannon. Good breakfast menu. 25 minute walk into town. ALDI just down the road and other retail parks along the route into town. Lots of good pubs with live music in Carrick. Large en suite room (117). Television with HDMI port so we were able to use our Amazon Fire TV stick with the free wifi. Great friendly service.

I stayed one night mid week recently. I arrived late, about 10pm but had phoned ahead to say I would be late , no problem. I had a nice small room with a very comfy bed. My only complaint would be the road noise in that particular room as it was at the front of the house and faced the Main road which was noisy all night. I had to keep the window open as it was very warm. Breakfast was fine. However my idea of a full Irish breakfast does not include beans!! everything else was fine. Good value at €55 . I would stay there again if in the area as it is close to town and the hosts were very welcoming. One other thing, no flowers is much better than plastic flowers.

Stayed here in July with my wife and 2 children. We were in Carrick for a wedding and we stayed 3 night

Upon arrival we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and this continued throughout our stay, we were even given a lift into town on the wedding day.

The rooms are large and comfortable, very clean and looked after

We had breakfast each morning which was also very good

If you are looking for somewhere to stay we a more personal feel than a hotel this is the place

Thank you for such a great stay

Easy to find just on the outskirts of Carrick on Shannon. The room was spotless. The beds were so comfortable. Loved the dining room, lots of choice of cereal and juices. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good portions and quality. The gluten free toast was one of the better breads I've tasted. Thank you Charlotte highly recommend. Definitely stay again.

Myself and my mum had a great experience at this guest house. The owners were great with my mum who is visually impaired. The owners put us in a house for the night as my mum couldn't manage the stairs in the guest house. They also picked us up in the morning for breakfast. Breakfast was lovely. Guest house in a perfect location. Could not fault this guest house at all. Would highly recommend to anybody. The owners go above and beyond.

Our room was not available when we arrived because of a water leak. We were offered another guest house nearby or a house in the town. We chose the house, it was perfect. They drove us up and collect us the next morning for breakfast. We were really looked after and I would highly recommend this accommodation. Will definitely stay there again, when we are travelling around that area.
