We got Married in the Landmark Hotel on Friday 01st July 2022. We could not recommend the Landmark Hotel highly enough. From the very first day we went down to see the hotel we knew we would be getting married here, such a beautiful location over looking the water, the hotel itself is fabulous, beautiful area for the drinks reception and the function room was amazing. The Wedding Coordinator Denice Kenny was such a pleasure to deal with, Denice made our perfect wedding day dreams come true. Denice was so helpful from start to finish, she couldn't have done anymore for us, we could give her a ring or call down to her she would always make time for us we knew we didn't have anything to worry about she had everything under control. The food on the day of the wedding was amazing all our guests thoroughly enjoyed it and are still talking about the great food they got which is very important. The staff the day of our wedding were exceptional, very professional and friendly, everyone got there food on time and plenty of food there was! We would highly recommend the Landmark Hotel and we will be truly forever grateful to the Hotel and all the staff for making our day so special! Lisa Kelly and Patrick Gunn…
We originally had planned on getting married in another hotel, but for the craic decided to visit The Landmark Hotel just to make us sure on our venue. After visiting Denice at our first show around, the venue we had our heart set on just didn't put a patch on what The Landmark had to offer. It has a homely, wholesome feel to it, with elegant decor. We had booked the hotel 2 years before our date, and Denice stayed in touch throughout. She gave us tips and made the dreaded wedding table plan a breeze. The Landmark had everything off to a T so that we didn't have to stress. On the day of our wedding, EVERYONE could not get over the service and the food. Our guests definitely did not go hungry and even guests that had dietary requirements were overwhelmed by the choice of food they could get that isn't often available in other hotels. We then witnessed our guests faces lighting up at the pizzas arriving in the residents bar. Bridal suit is amazing and rooms are so accomodating for all sizes of families and couples. HIGHLY recommend to other couples. We cannot wait to revisit The Landmark Hotel in the near future and it will forever hold a place in our hearts.…
We could not fault one thing about The Landmark. Our experience from start to finish was 1st class. Nothing was ever an issue and Denice was always on hand to answer our questions. In the days building up to the wedding and some of our guests from the UK began to arrive they commented how their time at the hotel was fantastic. The food, service and organisation of the day was brilliant. The ceremony room was beautifully dressed and was beyond our expectations. Our wedding meal was one of the best I’ve ever had and all our guests agreed. The staff were top class snd definitely enhanced everyone’s experience. I would highly recommend The Landmark to anyone considering it for their own wedding.
Spider 🕷 found in pint of Guinness. Which was replaced by a staff member. Staff appear quite young and overall unfriendly and uninterested . We asked for additional bread rolls with soup, which never arrived. Soup & sandwich flavour was very nice however , would return for the food but not the customer service.
I recently stayed in hotel, lovely and clean throughout, had a few small problems with the bedroom, Broken bathroom bin, lid on kettle broken, no rte 1 on tv, stains on carpet, single mattress past its sell by date, had to flip it, otherwise lovely, I will return
We called in on a warm day for amazing ice cream and coffees. We were made to feel welcome and although we weren’t guests with the atmosphere, surroundings and service we would come back and stay over. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.
My family and I recently attended a wedding at The Landmark. I can honestly say it was the best venue, location, food, accommodation etc etc ever. We stayed for two nights as there was a family gathering the night before the wedding. The Hotel was reasonably priced but there was also the option of The Landmark Suites literally across the road, which were equally luxurious but more economically priced. Family who stayed in these were able to come across to the Hotel and have breakfast with us for €9 a head. Outstanding value. The Hotel rooms were luxurious and spacious and spotlessly clean. The lounge and restaurant areas were also spotless. The food was superb and the Staff were very courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The Wedding Ceremony was held in a beautifully decorated room, festooned with hundreds of candles lighting and spectacular floral arrangements. The Spiritual ceremony was so personal and inclusive and brought a tear to everyone. Champagne, tea and coffee and sandwiches and nibbles were served following the ceremony, while photographs were been taken. We were all called in to dinner into a huge beautifully decorated room with round tables which makes an occasion so social as you can speak to everyone around the table. Again the food and service were outstanding. Following the speeches we were moved into a private lounge area or the foyer area for 30 minutes while the room was set up for the evening. A superb band took to the stage, followed by a fantastic DJ, so dancing went on into the wee small hours. The bar staff for the evening were so attentive and very friendly and even performed YMCA together behind the bar, great moves guys. Overall, I cannot recommend The Landmark highly enough for a wedding venue or even for a mini break. You are right opposite the Shannon which has beautiful walks along it and you can watch the boats going up and down. The small town of Carrick on Shannon is beautiful, full of everything you need and the girls at The Makeup Studio did a fantastic job on hairs and make up of the wedding guests.…
Nice hotel, but quite noisy to the front of the hotel facing the road, even on a Sunday night! Good breakfast, lovely staff and great size family soon. The room didn't have a fridge which would have been great to chill drinks (during the heatwave!) Central location to explore the town too
1st Food/Drink Review : Mojito Mocktail Very Tasty, has a nice kick to it. Great Presentation 8.5/10 Chicken Curry, Rice and Naan Bread. Visited this lovely hotel twice during our visit to Carrick on Shannon. We enjoyed Sunday lunch which was delicious. Staff were courteous and very professional. Later in the week we visited for dinner. Good menu choices, reasonably priced for this type of hotel.
