The Long Quay House is in a great location. Peter was a gracious host who answered all of our questions and did everything possible to make our stay in Kinsale a wonderful one. The view from our room was awesome; we looked out over Kinsale harbor. I highly recommend Long Quay House
This was a great place to spend our final several days in Ireland. We were traveling by train and bus. Bus stop was across the street. Location was adjacent to the center of town, making everything easily walkable. Rooms were comfortable, airy, breakfast allowed for choices and was excellently prepared. Peter and Rasa were wonderfully warm hosts. The price was also better than what we encountered in Dublin and Galway. If we're ever back in Kinsale, this would be our first choice for lodging.
An unexpected event led me to the Long Quay House. My husband was taken to the University of Cork Hospital for ten days. The Deasey family Peter, Rasa and Karoliss made me feel like family. Helping me out with everything I needed including paperwork, phone numbers and taxis, Breakfast menus had a great variety of items to choose from. Food was hot and outstanding delicious. My favorite room was the front room where you could see the people walking outside but they couldn't see you. Ut was very quiet. Jovita a family member made my husband's evening delightful by making sure he had some cookie which he loved.
This is such a lovely hotel. The couple who own Long Quay were born hosts. We hit some unexpected travel snags that resulted in the need to extend our trip. They couldn't have been more accommodating, offering suggestions or help at every turn. They take tremendous pride in their hotel and the incredible way they treat their guests. It was truly a pleasure to get to know them and we will definitely be returning.
We stayed for 1 night and everything you read here about Peter being a great host is true. You can see how much he cares about the guests enjoying their time here and the historic feel is evident Breakfast was delicious. Location is fantastic. Kinsale was my favorite town in Ireland Update 2022- back again and so glad to see Peter doing well and so gracious as a host. Breakfast is to die for with Rosa's jam the best!! Kicked off our trip in our favorite town in Ireland with such gracious hosts.
This facility and it's owner "Peter" were absolutely the joy of our Ireland vacation. And the homemade berry jam is a reason in its own to visit! What a nice family that makes for a very nice stay. Rooms are clean and spacious - facility is in great location - but again - the thing that makes you welcome is the families dedication to making you welcome. My wife and I had a small accident while visiting - and Peter made sure we were fine and ensured that our friends would be taken care of in their extended stay. Cant say enough kind things about this facility and its owners! HIGHLY recommend!
Wonderful location. Very clean and surprisingly very quiet room even being on the street. Staff was very attentive and so nice. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and spreads. Very Covid compliant. The rooms were huge with a nice sitting area. Would definitely stay again on our next trip!
We started our Irish road trip with a three night stay at Long Quay House, and what a way to start! This B&B is a Georgian property which has been very sympathetically decorated, looks beautiful inside and out. We were lucky enough to have room 8 on the top floor overlooking the inner harbour - across the road is a handy car park and the town itself, so the location couldn't be better but was also quiet at night. The owners and staff were all so friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, breakfast was consistently great (homemade jam a real treat!) - you really couldn't ask for anything more!
This beautiful old Georgian house was a perfect holiday stop. The accommodations were luxurious and immaculate, the food delicious, and the owners warm and friendly and helpful. Thank you Peter, Rasa and Jolita; you made our stay wonderful
The most covid compliant hotel I've ever stayed in. Friendly welcoming staff. Spotless room and facilities. Fabulous breakfast. Would recommend this place for a nights stay. The location is ideal as it's a 2 minute walk from the town centre- pubs, restaurants and shops.
