I can honestly say that this is the cleanest B&B or hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything was as clean as a whistle and freshened daily. As a solo traveller, the twin bed (which was like sleeping on a cloud) and €75/night price point was ideal for me. I loved that there were only 4 or 5 rooms total—staying here felt very intimate and quiet. The French toast was so delicious that I had it two mornings in a row, and the brown bread so tasty that I had to get the recipe from Aileen! The stay was punctuated by other thoughtful touches like a truly lovely hand soap in the bathroom, the tea service in the room, the fresh squeezed orange juice, and the gorgeous blue and white teapots. But I keep coming back to that incredibly comfy bed and quiet night’s sleep… and how tidy it was!! Great location for a morning walk while Kinsale wakes up to snap photos of all the brightly painted shops and homes before breakfast (served 8:30-10 am). Thanks to Orla and Aileen for their wonderful hospitality!

Don’t miss the Scilly town pedestrian trail to Charles Fort while in town!

The Cloisters B&B is no more than a 5-minute walk from many restaurants and the starting points for the Ghost Tour and Don & Barry’s Historic Stroll. The owners, Orla and Aileen, were very helpful in providing driving directions in advance and in recommending the activities I mentioned and places to eat. For breakfast I had a gourmet treat, a large piece of salmon on toast. I would consider our stay to have been a bargain.

We visited Cloisters B&B for two nights, and it was a great way to end our trip to Ireland!

Orla and Aileen were very helpful with walking directions from the main car park in town, accommodating our odd arrival time and shifting our breakfast to enable an early-morning departure. Their recommendations of things to see and places to eat & drink were spot on. Our bed was comfortable and the room was meticulously clean. Breakfasts were ample and freshly made-to-order (nice strong coffee and a delicious smoked salmon bagel!)

We highly recommend Cloisters and look forward to our next visit!

Wonderful B&B in the heart of town with comfortable rooms, amazing hosts, and a great breakfast. It definitely added to our stay in Kinsale. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and good showers. The breakfast has hot options to choose from and a buffet of fruits, yogurt and cereals.

Aileen and Orla are two hosts attentive to the needs of their customers. Everything is taken care of in every detail, with even a sumptuous breakfast! We had a great time and, after two weeks of traveling through Ireland, we can definitely say that this is the best B&B we have stayed in! Bravissime!

We could enjoy the hospitality of Orla and Aileen for one night only, but it was enough to feel at home. They were very kind to us even before arriving, providing us with all the necessary information. Kinsale is a gem and Cloisters is in a perfect location to visit it. Near the center, with its little shops (Bookstor, Stone Mad, Prim's Bookshop) and the many exquisite restaurants (we would have liked to try them all, especially Bia, but in the end we went to Fishy Fishy, great!). Comfortable bed, cozy and quiet room, sumptuous breakfast.

Aileen and Orla bring years of experience of offering what travellers want and need, but have still managed to maintain their genuine care and interest in their visitors. Great information provided before your arrival and then helpful advice once you are there. The room was elegant and comfortable with a great bed/bedding and many practical amenities included. Breakfast options were delicious. Location was central to the old town centre of Kinsale but on a peaceful street close to the action. A charming haven. Fantastic value at this price.

Fantastic stay. They were so accommodating and helpful with suggestions for things to do and places to eat around Kinsale and other parts of Ireland.
The house was completely spotless and breakfast was very tasty as well.
We had a great time and would absolutely choose to come to back and stay here again if I was ever in Kinsale again.

How we loved our time in Kinsale. Aileen & Orla certainly were a huge part of what made our stay so special. Cloister's B&B is efficiently run. Our room larger room was clean and very well thought out with a view of the church across the street. They were very helpful upon arrival making sure we had parking and giving suggestions of what to see and do. Breakfast was a true delight. My husband loved the french toast. We felt very welcome during our time here. When we are back in Kinsale there is no other place I would pick to stay.

We were there in late May - paid 95 Euro for a room with a Qnueen and Single bed. Definetly worth 2 nights. Take the walking tour - and any pub recommendation that Orla and Aileen give you.
