Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic stay at the Kinsale Hotel and Spa.My sister and I stayed for 2 nights on the weekend of the 5th of May.We stayed in room 207.The view from the room was exceptional. So panoramic. Our bedroom was so spacious.Beds are so comfy and our room was prestine when it came to cleanliness. Fantastic gym and pool.Staff at the Leisure centre were so friendly and helpful. We had a sumptious dinner on the Friday night in the dining room.My steak was cooked to perfection. The 2 ladies who served us went above and beyond to look after us. Breakfast was delicious. So much choice.I ordered an ometette on both mornings.Absolutely delicious. We had a tiny issue regarding noise from a disco but when I approached Peter, the Front Office manager at Reception he listened intently and sorted out the issue immediately. It means so much when your concerns are taken seriously.Thank you Peter. You are truly a tremendous asset to the hotel.I was so satisfied with the way you and your colleague at Reception handled my complaint. The grounds are magnificent.I am a keen photographer and took some amazing photos of the exceptional flora and fauna on the walkway at the rear of the hotel. An absolute gem of a hotel. Can't wait to go back there again soon.

The hotel is exactly what you get as it says online and the view is excellent . The rooms are clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, water and toiletries, the only thing that lets the room down is that it doesn’t have a fridge.I would recommend that you hirer a car as it is a bit of the beaten track, but saying that there is a shuttle bus which you can book at reception free of charge that takes you into Kinsale . The hotel staff are exceptionally and will help we’re needed, I say this as we couldn’t get a cab back as it was a 2hr wait, but bumped into John dropping other guests off and offered us a lift back. Spa good but cannot comment on treatments as did not have any .Food good, drink good, service excellent.

Hi, I stayed this last weekend at the hotel, and I just want to say Natasha went above and beyond for myself and two friends and we cannot speak highly enough of Natasha professionalism support and friendliness during our stay. The room was comfortable the views gorgeous, and we had a lovely time. The Spa team were also super helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed treatments on Sunday. I would add not on a negative note, but it did seem some reception staff struggled i.e. to find our booking etc. and we experienced the same checking out maybe some training on how to deal with guests might be ideal?

First off, no A/C in the rooms contrary to information on TripAdvisor. In May it was 60 degrees outside but our room on the third floor got too hot to sleep comfortably. I can’t imagine staying here in warmer weather. Both days we stayed there were weddings , the lobby is packed during the wedding, we couldn’t get in the door, get to the desk to check in and had trouble parking. The place could use a face lift. The deck floor has rotted places( my heel went through) and the rooms just looked dull I don’t think it’s worth the money.

A very nice hotel. Some great staff, some not so great staff who seemed very young and unaware of what their job was. So a mixed bag. For me it was way too far from Kinsale - had to drive their and find parking. Next time I'll stay in town so I can just walk to all the shops.

We had our wedding at Kinsale Hotel and Spa May 5th of this year. I really cannot recommend this venue enough. The team went above and beyond, they are just incredible. Our guests (and ourselves) were blown away. Nothing was a bother. We really do have memories of the most incredible weekend that we will cherish forever. We will be forever grateful to the team. Thank you to Ronan, Natasha, the 2 Pauls!, Sandra, Sarah, Lucile, the South African lady on reception (sorry I didn't get her name!) and the Brazilian guy in the restaurant (sorry, I didn't catch his name either!!) and the rest of the team. Each and everyone of you are incredible at what you do. If you have any doubts about booking this venue, don't! I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

After celebrating a family wedding on May 5th, it is safe to say that I am truly blown away! As a fellow employee within the Hospitality Industry, it was a pleasure to be at a wedding and receive such an exceptional experience! The wedding food, breakfast and infused water each day was absolutely superb! The room was turned over during the evening, when we left the for further celebrations, which was a fantastic surprise. Heidi, the Front Office Receptionist went above and beyond for us. She is a true treasure to the hotel! Her bubbly aura and passion for her work is admirable. The check in and out process was smooth and effortless. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and even have air conditioning. If anyone is contemplating a stay here, I would absolutely go for it!!! There is no bad view within the hotel, it is a true hidden gem of Ireland

We attended a wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic. Really easy check in, staff were very attentive and the food despite cooking for such a large number was served promptly and was divine. The venue, food and staff were fantastic. Shout to Heidi on the front desk who went above and beyond.
