We came to Kinsale to camp for a festival and it lashed rain so after the first night we caved and booked in here. Best decision we could have made! The warm welcome, the huge gorgeous room..... Everything made us feel 100 times better. They couldn't have done more for us. Would highly recommend! Mary is a star and all of the staff are amazing

Absolutely perfect stay at Friar’s Lodge. The location is great for waking into town and there is plenty of parking. The family room was a big size and the beds were really comfortable. The room was cleaned each day and the tea/biscuits refreshed which was lovely. The breakfast was fantastic, a great Buffett selection and the Irish cooked breakfast was a great way to start the day. The staff in the breakfast room and throughout our entire stay was so helpful and really lovely. I would 100% recommend staying here.

Location is perfect. A minute walk from town centre shops restaurants and pubs but on a really quiet street. Free car park right outside - excellent value for money and makes everything so relaxed and easy. Big airy rooms with king sized bed, cosy snd spotless. Love bringing our dogs here. I’ve seen some reviews about decor which is not modern. It’s an older hotel but once you are not expecting a modern style, you won’t be disappointed with anything else! Couldn’t do enough for us. Feels like a home away from home, so chilled out. I’m vegan and often don’t go for breakfast when away but Maureen went out of her way and added some extra veggies for me and we had an amazing hearty breakfast. I can’t say enough about this place, just love the whole chilled vibe and how close it is to everything. Lovely coffee shop at end of road too. Looking forward to annual trip next year already!

This is a very clean, covid aware, convenient accomodation. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and spotless. The staff are friendly, informative and very helpful. It is situated about a minute to two walk from Kinsale town and is a very pleasant walk. Breakfast was lovely. We had the full Irish breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were very helpful and topped up the tea and toast and made the food to order. Margaret and Mary were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Room Tip: Car park on site with plenty of space, and no need to drive into Kinsale itself. So close.
