Very good room, large, clean and with an excellent shower & bath. Very easy to walk into Kinsale, so did not need to use the car much. Breakfasts were great with plenty of fresh fruit. Would definitely stay here again.

A modern well kept clean Guest House. The room was very spacious with all mod cons and clean. A very warm welcome from Maeve Coakley the proprietor, excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and great advise about local restaurants and other amenities. Well kept grounds in pleasant surroundings.

Stayed here 2 nights. Very peaceful, pleasant and efficient. Fabulous breakfast was the thing that made it special. V. Fresh and yummy with great service. Rooms are a good size; the big bed was a bit hard for me, but the husband liked it. Style beige and hotel-like. All you'd need tho and excellent location in village. Good shower too....

Blindgate House is a little difficult to find but but well seeking out. It is only a five minute walk into the main town with a superb choice of restaurants awaiting you (not for nothing is Kindle termed the gourmet capital of Ireland!). You will receive a warm welcome from Maeve and she is also willing to share her insider...

Great spot for Kinsale. Just a short walk up the hill from town. Maeve is a great host and the place is very clean, comfortable and a great breakfast. Quiet rooms, nice bathroom, great suggestions of places to eat. Will certainly go back again.

The room was really comfortable, and the included breakfast was so tasty. The walk into town was a good 10+ minutes, but it's worth it to be somewhere quiet (we visited on a Saturday night, and you could tell that the hotels right in town would not be getting any peace and quiet until the wee hours of the morning)....

Very comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious each day. Maeve went out of her way to make us feel welcome. This was the first place we stayed in Ireland, and the bar was set very high! Perfect location if you are in town to play golf at Old Head.

Stayed two nights. Room very comfortable and clean with nice bathroom and good water pressure (always important). Maeve very friendly and helpful. Plenty of on site parking which is always a plus. Quick walk to town however, the walk back is up a fairly steep hill. I note this in case you have some mobility issues. Only real drawback was...

Blindgate was a great place to base our short stay in Kinsale. The room was modern, spacious, and comfortable, and we were only a short walk to all of the restaurants and bars downtown. A fabulous breakfast got us off to a perfect day of touring the town. Highly recommended!
