This was a excellent experience right from the start we all knew it was going to be great.they welcomed us with showing us to our rooms and offering us coffee tea and hot cocoa. we waited for about five minutes and then we went down the hall and when we sat down we saw that they had made brownies for...

I had a wonderful experience at Kilcaw House. My hosts were welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Andy and Marion quickly became good friends. I look forward to returning to Kinsale and staying at Kilcaw House.

I did not stay but close family did and were so pleased by the welcome and the breakfast that I felt that I had to write a review. I understand that the owners are new to the business and their efforts deserve the reward of a good review. Well done Kilcaw House.

Our hosts were spectacular ! A special place to spent a couple of nights and experience what Kinsale has to offer ....which is lots . Spotlessly clean guest rooms with a minimalist decor and casual pine furniture . Lovely linens and adequate towels and toiletries . A Hearty breakfast to fill any appetite. Has the feel of a farm house...

Kilcaw house is a welcoming home away from home comfort. Andrew and Marion are gracious hosts and very helpful. They made sure everything was to our liking. Yes, the house is situated on a steep hill above the colorful town of Kinsale but the walk to and from town is invigorating and full of photo opportunities below. Recommend a flashlight...

We were relatively late booking a Saturday night in Kinsale and this was the only place with a vacancy. Next time we go to Kinsale, this will be the first place we call. Everything was perfect. Marian and Andy couldn't do enough for us. It's slightly out of the town but Marian will show you a nice walkway into the...

Marian and Andy couldn't have been more welcoming. The bedroom was large and the bed was very comfortable . Breakfast in the morning was generous and delicious, the smoked salmon went down a treat. Andy went out of his way to suggest the picturesque walk to Charles Fort and places to eat. We highly recommend this B&B. Moira &Ron, Victoria,...

Our family was one of the first to stay at Kilcaw since Andy and Marian took ownership and we absolutely loved it. The property is nicely situated near Kinsale, the accommodations were just right for the 5 of us, and Tadgh (their son) made some very tasty breakfasts. Andy made a nice fire our first nite there and we felt...

As you mentioned Mike, you were one of the very first visitors since we took over the house in May. We were so pleased that you were able to become what seemed like part of our extended family while you were here. It's great to see guests relax and feel comfortable as they would in their own home. Hopefully we...

The property is under new ownership and the owners were very thoughtful and helpful throughout our brief stay. They were able to make multiple recommendations and give directions, to make sure our short time in Kinsale was well spent. The location is just up the hill from Kinsale and so it's very convenient for going on the gorgeous walks Kinsale can...

This was our third visit to Kilcaw House. We stayed there on our honeymoon and our 10th wedding anniversary. When we tried to book our visit for our 20th, we found that Kilcaw House had new owners. Happily, Kilcaw House remains in very good hands. Andrew and Marian, the new owners, couldn't have been more hospitable. They helped us plan...

“You could walk to Kinsale from here (about a km) but would probably recommend cab or driving (or asking Andy if he is headed to town :) ).”

“Although I am a single person , I was given a lovely double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. I have seen several of her other rooms, all wonderful. Also, the dining room, hall/entrance and sitting area for guests all spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable . I noticed lovely fresh flowers were always placed in this area too. Very welcoming and comfortable .”
