Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely rooms in Old presbytery, we had three en-suite doubles with shared self catering kitchen lounge with far reaching views over town and far away. Clean tidy well looked after great communication. Located in the centre of town for cafe , restaurant and pubs , some live music and shopping , arty shops a speciality . Country walks from town also , loads of history and boats .

Whenever we are in Kinsale we make sure we stay in the Old Presbytery. It is a real home away from home. Noreen and Philip are wonderful welcoming hosts who ensure that our every need is looked after. The attention to detail throughout the apartments is very high with very comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchens. We will return here again and again

Very high quality apartment right in the centre of Kinsale. Excellent facilities and a short stroll to restaurents, shops and bars. Very quiet - great for a good night sleep. Spotlessly clean and well organised for the requirements of Covid times. The hosts, philip & Noreen could not have been more friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. A perfect quality spot for a staycation in these strange times. John & Anne

We are family of 4 - stayed 2 nights. This place is not a B&B anymore - all rooms converted to large apartments. We were lucky to find this luxurious apartment. Parking is onsite - very central location and priced very reasonably for Kinsale as it is an expensive place to visit. Both rooms were large with lage ensuites and kitchen/sitting area was perfect and very comfortable. Given the current Covid climate we felt very safe here and property is immaculate. Sanitiser is available on entering main door. Despite the storm we slept the night- and the street outside is not noisy. Thank you for providing us with such a safe haven - we would love to return if we are in Kinsale again.

Noreen and Philip run this gorgeous place to a very high standard whilst not losing the personal and homely touch. The accommodation is beautifully finished with amazing views over kinsale harbour and ample space for very good value being right in the centre of town. We’ve travelled to kinsale for 30 years and this was our first time staying here...we all agreed we won’t be going anywhere else going forward! It was perfect for the three couples and baby in our group spanning all age groups from 1 year to 75!

We have been visiting Kinsale and the Old Presbytery for @ 20 plus years. Why look anywhere else when you’ve found the best. Not able to avail of Philips Legendary Breakfasts we started the day a bit lighter. The Excellent apartments are Fully equipped and Kinsale has all the fine produce on hand. This was our first visit since the Change to Self catering. The living accommodation has been appointed to the same high standard of the bedrooms.

Wonderful experience - great location, large apartment, and very helpful owners (helped secure transportation when orig. plans fell through). Our favorite stay during the three week cross country trip!

Our stay here was wonderful, it is such a unique place, full of history. We had a small balcony that we enjoyed as the evening was beautiful. The breakfast room was open to everyone and there were biscuits, tea and a wonderful coffee/espresso machine that I wish I could have taken home. If we every come back this way we would definitely stay again. The proprietors were welcoming, very nice and also a small car park so you didn't have to park in the street.

Staying at the Old Presbyterian BnB is like staying with dear long time friends. My room was sparking clean, cozy, and spacious. What I most loved were breakfasts and afternoon tea. Chatting with Noreen or fellow travelers was a hilight. Breakfast is cooked to order and an ample spread. Noreen was dear in providing lots of gluten free options as well as helpful tips and directions! Stay here if you want a lil TLC!
