We found this place by accident, because some friends were staying there. Rooms are good sizes, well equipped, and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, extensive buffet and good size menu.... The staff were nice and friendly, helpful, particular at the reception desk. Next time we are in this wonderful town, this will be our hotel to stay.

This was a nice hotel, a little small but that is to be expected. The location is right in the center of all that is happening in Kinsale. Reception was very helpful and there is free parking just up the road, maybe a 5 minute walk.

Had a lovely weekend in the Blue Haven . Friendly staff, good food and comfortable room . Enjoyed a guided tour of town which was most enjoyable . Kinsale is a gourmets paradise so enjoyed delicious seafood in local hosteleries . Would highly recommend a trip to Kinsale

Fabulous hotel with friendly and professional staff. Amazing breakfast, especially the Wild boar with a £4 supplement . Went for a wedding and made the most of all the bars and facilities in the hotel.

I write this review with care, because this place could really be someone else's cup of tea. I prefer hotels that are modern and fresh. This place is neither. On the positive side, it's a funky place with character in a great central location and accommodating staff. While I get "old world charm", this place just felt very worn and...

We dined here during a few days staying in wonderful Kinsale. We also dined in their sister bar 'Hamlets'. Whilst the food is good (small portions though) it is just too expensive. A sample of wine prices: Blue Haven €7.30 for a Pinot/Shiraz/Cab Sav - Hamlets €7.30 - Jim Edwards Restaurant €5.50, The Malt Bar €5.50, The White House €6.00....

Hi There. Disappointed to read this review, especially as we offer a number of wines across a number of different price points. Starting at €6 and peaking at €8.50 for our premium wines by the glass. For example, our Chilean Cab Sav is €6 and our entry Pinot is €6.30. We have a Shiraz at €6.50 also. We do have...

Smack in the centre of Kinsale and what a town it is! Charming and picturesque you would not go far wrong by using this as a base to enjoy the town and surrounding area. Best of cork here in the Blue Haven!

Booked through booking.com but changed the booking on line and rebooked via the hotel. Was changed to the Old Bank house facility which is less than one minute away. Rooms are fine, actually very nice. bathrooms also. The room door has a key which is old school but does not detract from it. The guests in adjoining rooms were extremely...

We were a walk in and went twice during 3 night stay in Kinsale. Nice atmosphere, great staff, very good food, fish pie, crab crumble, scallops, tortellini all of note, the ice cream desserts are off the scale. There is a 3 piece Bambrick in on a Wednesday evening, they were spectacular, we stayed later than planned and drunk more...

We stayed for two nights and had a pleasant stay in Kinsale. The Blue Haven has probably one of the best locations in Kinsale and a variety of eating and drinking location on site, together with in house music entertainment, all good. We found the staff were pleasant and some particularly friendly. The location offered a multitude of eateries and...
