The Giles Norman Gallery & Townhouse, based in a stunning Georgian building, offers guests a modern touch of class and comfort right in the heart of Kinsale. Each individual en-suite room has been curated by Giles himself, exhibiting pieces from his many portfolios - the vision was to build an interior aesthetic that reflects both Giles’s artistry and photographic style. This Georgian building, which overlooks the beautiful Kinsale pier, is also home to the giles norman photography gallery.

Stayed in the penthouse. "Wow" factor when you open the door! Smells divine (top quality diffusers used), spotless & lovely welcoming touches like handmade fudge, a blank Giles Norman greeting card & handcrafted organic lavender bath salts. Bath robes are also provided but no slippers. Bring your own bottles of water as there's none provided but there is a little coffee machine. Be prepared for the stairs..they'll keep you fit! We met Giles & Catherine in the gallery. Lovely warm, welcoming couple who booked dinner next door for us in Max's that evening (also recommend). If you're guest in the townhouse you are offered 10% off purchases in the gallery....we made the most of this offer purchasing 3 between us. All in all perfect location!

We stayed here for one night to break up the journey from Dublin before heading for West Cork. Its room only, but considering prices in Kinsale, its still very good value. We The house is immaculately decorated (to be honest, its what I want my house to look like one day!) with a mixture of period features and understated modern touches. The bed was exceptional, so large and comfortable. We were a bit unfortunate in that our stay was on a Monday meaning that not all of the restaurants in Kinsale were open but we did manage to find a good breakfast at Cosy Cafe nearby. As others have said, the location is ideal and there is free parking (subject to availability) right outside. Would absolutely return if in Kinsale again.

The Giles Norman Gallery and Townhouse is situated in a great location, just a stone's throw from Fishy Fishy restaurant. A small free car park stands directly opposite. The Suite itself is excellent, being comfortably spacious, modern and luxurious. Numerous skylights line the roof, some with a view of the harbour. Giles Norman's B&W photos are tastefully hung throughout. A freestanding bath is a nice touch and the shower cubicle is spacious with a rain shower. The toiletries are excellent quality also. Staying here is an outstanding experience.

Even though the weather was atrocious Kinsale shimmers and glistens with Christmas cheer!!. We booked in for two nights at Giles Norman Gallery and Townhouse and Catherine could not be more helpful in booking us into superb restaurants. We at at Fishy Fish and the Supper Club - both fabulous recommendations. Kinsale as a town is stunning, a place to explore and enjoy the little alleys of lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. The town in the midst of Covid had pulled out all the stops to make the town gorgeously festive. We stayed in the attic room which was bright, spacious and fabulously decorated - Catherine showed us the Ireland suite which is beautiful - anyone would be very lucky to stay there. The hotel displays Giles's wonderful art and we found ourselves stopping on the stairs to admire them. We found a couple of gorgeous christmas pressies for ourselves to treasure. Thank you so much for our lovely stay, we will be back. Breakfast at Lemon Tree and Leones are super!!!

Myself and my hubby stayed here last week. It's just lovely! Comfy beds, spotlessly clean and little extras like handwritten welcome note in our room and the best fudge sweets I've ever tasted that made us feel extra welcome. Stunning artwork from the very talented Giles Norman to enjoy... Couldn't fault this place! Will 100% return 🙂

Gorgeous room and great location, literally situated in the heart of Kinsale and there is free parking just beside it which was very handy. The room was beautifully decorated with some of the lovely photography framed and hung around the room. There was a bottle of prosecco chilled in the room on arrival which was such a gorgeous touch and also some nice fudge and two cards for us to take home. The bed itself was super comfy and spacious. There is no breakfast served which is fine as there are so many gorgeous spots to eat in Kinsale.
I would 100% stay here again when I come to Kinsale. 10/10 from me.

What a spectacular room! Check-in was smooth, and the gracious woman even made my group a last minute reservation, as we didn't realize many of the eateries we were interested would be closed on Monday. None the less, we had a terrific dinner at Max's which was just a few steps away. Immediately upon entry to the townhouse, you are greeted with a terrific lavender smell and impeccable décor. The rooms were large, comfortable and stunning and the bathrooms were amazing. One of the best showers we had on our 10 day trip in Ireland. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back and won't hesitate to book at the Giles Norman again.

We had a very comfortable overnight stay in the Giles Norman Townhouse last week. Our room was decorated in shades of grey to perhaps reflect the tones of the photos throughout the house, and everything seemed new and of good quality - the bed and linens, the bathroom fittings and accessories, the general decor. Check in and out was very straightforward in the photo shop below. The house is very well located in Kinsale, a few minutes' walk from most of the restaurants and attractions, and there is paid parking, plus a free car park if you're lucky, nearby. And a nice touch was a gift of a greetings card with one of GN's photos and a small bag of fudge. We were very happy with our stay.

From the time of our arrival, when we were warmly welcomed by Emily, until our departure the next day, our experience at the Giles Norman Townhouse and Gallery was exceptional. I can do no better than the lovely photos to convey how luxurious but homey this place feels. We stayed in the Kinsale Room. The bed was so comfortable and exactly what the weary travel body needs. Shower water pressure was strong and relaxing. There is a very light spa-like fragrance throughout the space that is calming. Shower gel, shampoo & body lotion seem to be of the same refreshing, subtle fragrance. When it comes to comfort, they have thought of everything. Do be sure to stop into the gallery to enjoy more of Giles’ stunning photography.

Giles Norman Townhouse is the perfect place the stay in Kinsale. The location is fabulous. It is on one of the main shopping/dining streets, and yet just far enough removed to be perfectly quiet and peaceful. Views of the harbor are stunning, and there is a free parking lot literally right across the street (we had to circle a few times, but we eventually got a spot). The decor is fabulous. We stayed in the "loft," which is on the top floor of the building and very spacious. The building does not have an elevator, so it may not be a good option for someone with mobility issues, but we managed fine. There also are no air conditioners, which 95% of the time in Ireland is totally fine. It happened to be a heat wave while we were there, but they provided a fan and with the windows open it was totally fine. The main selling point is that the staff are SO friendly. We arrived early and they were kind enough to hang onto our bags for us while we ventured out. When we came back to check in we discovered that they had carried our two massive suitcases up to the third floor (aka fourth floor, for us Americans) for us! They also provided us with some great recs for dining during our stay. And, when we accidentally left behind a piece of jewelry after we checked out, they discovered it immediately and offered to mail it all the way back to the States for us. Truly they went above and beyond. Couldn't recommend enough!
