My wife and I stayed in the Ireland suite for two nights for our babymoon. The location was fantastic in the picturesque town of Kinsale. This beautiful period townhouse was very comfortable and finished to a very high standard. Both the bedroom and the bathroom had a luxurious feel to it. The suite was well appointed with a fridge and coffee machine, there was even a small welcome pack from the gallery and delicious fudge. My wife thoroughly appreciated the Voya toiletries and the tasteful and thoughtful little touches. The room was a perfect temperature and spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend this guesthouse and will certainly be returning!
From the time of our arrival, when we were warmly welcomed by Emily, until our departure the next day, our experience at the Giles Norman Townhouse and Gallery was exceptional. I can do no better than the lovely photos to convey how luxurious but homey this place feels. We stayed in the Kinsale Room. The bed was so comfortable and exactly what the weary travel body needs. Shower water pressure was strong and relaxing. There is a very light spa-like fragrance throughout the space that is calming. Shower gel, shampoo & body lotion seem to be of the same refreshing, subtle fragrance. When it comes to comfort, they have thought of everything. Do be sure to stop into the gallery to enjoy more of Giles’ stunning photography.
When I walked into my room after a long journey I said, “I never want to leave this place”. The room was beautiful (I took a picture, which I never do!) and overlooked the harbor. A book with restaurant and activity recommendations was on the desk, which I appreciated. Giles has put together several walks to see key area attractions, which I also used. I was sorry I had only booked a single night. I would definitely stay again when I return to Kinsale.
Giles Norman townhouse is a wonderful accommodation in a central location in Kinsale. The rooms are beautiful , comfortable and right across the street from the harbor. Parking is available across the street. We left our car parked and walked everywhere we went for the 2 days we stayed there. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kinsale.
We stayed in the Ireland suite, which is a first class accommodation. It is spacious, beautifully decorated, peaceful, and in the perfect central location. There is comfortable seating, top quality linens and bath amenities, and of course the owner’s stellar framed photos throughout the suite. The hosts communicated promptly and offered suggestions for dining. The photos online are current and accurate- we highly recommend this accommodation.
Giles Norman was our favorite accommodation on our Irish adventure tour. Excellent location. We stayed in the Kinsale room which was a very clean modernized room with all the amenities. I believe her name was Emily in the gallery, was very pleasant and helpful in finding a dinner location as we were there on a Sunday and Monday where many restaurants are closed. A beautiful place stay here if you can!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would ! The Giles Norman Townhouse was outstanding in my eyes. The Ireland room is where we stayed. It is spacious ,very well appointed, and beautifully decorated. They have thought of everything , Our friends stayed in The Loft and were equally pleased ! A must stay when in Kinsale
Our family voted and this was the favorite stay from our July week in Ireland. We stayed in a variety of property types (Westin/Marriott properties in Dublin, boutique hotels in other towns, a resort) - and this one charmed us all. We had two rooms for one night - just the basic rooms on a middle floor. Both rooms were nicely finished, comfortable, quiet, and super clean. The place has character - in the building itself, the photography on the walls - all with a modern twist. The pictures online are accurate. It was a very easy process to reserve, check-in, and check-out (both at the gallery). We even found free parking for the night in the lot across the street, as advertised. All in all, a great stay!
We stayed in the Ireland room for one night while in Kinsale. We loved the place. Very clean and comfortable. Check in was very easy and access to the room as a breeze as well. Highly recommended! Loved it.
Giles Norman Townhouse is the perfect place the stay in Kinsale. The location is fabulous. It is on one of the main shopping/dining streets, and yet just far enough removed to be perfectly quiet and peaceful. Views of the harbor are stunning, and there is a free parking lot literally right across the street (we had to circle a few times, but we eventually got a spot). The decor is fabulous. We stayed in the "loft," which is on the top floor of the building and very spacious. The building does not have an elevator, so it may not be a good option for someone with mobility issues, but we managed fine. There also are no air conditioners, which 95% of the time in Ireland is totally fine. It happened to be a heat wave while we were there, but they provided a fan and with the windows open it was totally fine. The main selling point is that the staff are SO friendly. We arrived early and they were kind enough to hang onto our bags for us while we ventured out. When we came back to check in we discovered that they had carried our two massive suitcases up to the third floor (aka fourth floor, for us Americans) for us! They also provided us with some great recs for dining during our stay. And, when we accidentally left behind a piece of jewelry after we checked out, they discovered it immediately and offered to mail it all the way back to the States for us. Truly they went above and beyond. Couldn't recommend enough!…
