Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are looking for a beautiful House and Garden that is spotless with extra amenities, and a delightful host, this is where you should stay! There is no breakfast, however a kettle for water and assortment of teas China cups ans saucers and some cookies and crackers. The Olive &Fig is a 5 minute walk, serves breakfast and snacks and is yummy and reasonable.

My friend and I stayed for a week at the impeccably kept Bay View Bed and breakfast as we had a wedding to attend nearby. The accommodation lived up to its description and all the positive reviews on this site. Miriam was so delightful and looked after our every need. The breakfast was delicious and I will never forget the local rich creamy yogurt. The beds were really comfortable and we slept soundly. What really stood out was how our hosts went went above and beyond to help us by actually driving me to the wedding venue, too kind! Also I left my charger behind and Miriam kindly posted to me in Dublin. Thank you! The Supa Valu supermarket nearby is like nothing I’ve ever seen, so many food options with fabulous displays. I hope to return to Bay View soon.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Bayview House Bed and Breakfast! Our room was beautiful and immaculate. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Miriam and her mother went out of their way to ensure that we had a good visit and enjoyed our our stay in Clonakilty. They were both very helpful were able to give us wonderful recommendations of things to do in the area. We will definitely make it a point to stay here again on a future return trip to Ireland. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and well kept B&B. Our room (overlooking the bay) was very spacious, absolutely spotless and had a really nice atmosphere. Miriam and her mother Noreen were very welcoming, giving us recommandations for daytrips and restaurants. Miriam was kind enough to make a short term evening reservation at a very popular restaurant. Breakfast was delicious. The B&B is perfectly maintained. The garden is a picture perfect.. The B&B is easy to find, with its own parking spaces und it is just a short walk into town. We wouldn´t hesitate to stay there again!

This B&B is really lovely. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The bedroom had a super comfortable bed, also 2 armchairs overlooking the estuary. We also had a dressing room area with wardrobe vanity table and chair. Miriam herself is very welcoming and has a chat with everyone. The breakfast was delicious on both mornings. I left a bracelet behind me, didn't even realise I had until I got a call from Miriam when we were half way home, just told me to email my address and she'd send it on. Will definitely be staying here when we're in this part of the country again.

Stayed in this B&B as a getaway with my boyfriend. As soon as we parked and checked in Miriam and family were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We were shown our room, which was just as requested and we were treated to a lovely comfortable bed, views of the water and lovely cakes brought to the room. It really is a gem, with tips of where to go out in town and the easiest way to get there. The hosts couldn't have done more, it really was fantastic. We were leisurely in the morning and as soon as we went down for breakfast, we gave our orders and dug into the cereals, fruit and brown soda before the main event of the cooked full irish for him, me scrambled eggs...delicious. The house and family are truly one of the best in West Cork definitely...would love to go back! Thanks for the lovely stay!!

Three of us stayed at Bay View House for 2 nights. We had a family room (2 singles & a double). The room, bathroom and everywhere in between were absolutely spotless!! The beds were super comfortable aswell! Loved the little touches Miriam provided: Ice-cold bottle of water on arrival, plenty of teas/coffee to choose from (and chocolate bars), cleaning our room and making our beds so everything was fresh for the second night - I've never got that in a B&B before and was very impressed! Everything about this place is perfect. The breakfast was AMAZING! Not greasy, plenty to choose from..and the black pudding was to die for!! I was sorry to have missed the breakfast the second day...Party was too good the night before!! :) Miriam was the perfect host - so welcoming and a truly lovely warm person which is felt all throughout the house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay are we are already planning the next trip back!!
