What a lovely clean and central place to stay . Could not fault from the time we arrived Host Ann was out when we arrived but her son was fantastic he showed us our room so we could get sorted after a long road trip . Not long after we where greeted by Ann such a lovely host explained the facility available and as we had to leave early had breakfast ready for us so we could hit the road 100% recommended .
We we arrived at our next locations I realised I had left my watch behind after calling Ann she said she will post it to our home address for me so appreciative of her help

We stayed in Ballard House last week. Clean spacious modern room and good breakfast. The lady running is extremely helpful and gave my husband a lift when we were stuck for a taxi to pick up our car the next morning. Accomodated an extra person last minute by adding a bed and while we were worried it would be squashed the room was big enough to take it. It is a bit out from clonakilty - about ten euro for a taxi but if we had to come down there again and look for a b&b again I would consider it.

+1
On my writing journey through Ireland I accidentally found myself 3.5 hours away from my real destination thanks to Google maps, but when I arrived late on a rainy evening knocking on Mrs. Anne's door she was so sweet and began preparations for my night. The room was quaint and upstairs so my view was stunning over the horse pastures the next morning. Her parlor was a warm inviting well appointed sunroom with a lovely dining table where she prepares a lovely breakfast every morning. We ended up bumping into each other at 1am and had a cup of tea and a beautiful chat. Please send my regards to Mrs. Anne!

Spacious clean room with all the usual facilities, including WiFi.
Fabulous panoramic views of the picturesque countryside.
Only a few minutes from Clonakilty and very close to the very interesting Michael Collins Centre at Castle View.
Good breakfast.
Friendly and welcoming landlady.
Would definitely return if visiting the area again!

A great room. A spectacular view. A super breakfast. What could make it better? They already have that - Ann the owner. She's a wonderful lady who makes you feel welcome and can give you great information on things to do in the area

Excellent B&B ! A big thank you to the owners for their hospitality, kindness and their assistance of a home made booster. My daughter had a much more comfortable car journey thanks to the creative thinking of the owners. Highly recommend this beautiful B&B, you'll be sure to be greeted with a warm welcome.

The lady in charge was very nice and the price was reasonable for the weekend that was in it. It was my first time staying in a B&B and it is fair to say she done all she needed to in relation to making the stay pleasant.

Very quiet, country stay just a few minutes from Clonakilty. Comfortable and very clean room with nice en-suite. Kind and helpful hosts. Important to have a car for visiting the countryside and don’t forget a visit to Scally’s, the very impressive supermarket in Clonakilty.

This b&b is about 5 minutes drive from Clonakilty. It is set in beautiful countryside. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Ann was very welcoming and keen to advise on where to visit in the area. Would recommend.
