we recently stayed in the emmet Hotel. its a small hotel in the centre of clonakilty, overlooking a small green park. very central. it is family run, staff very friendly and helpful. it is spotlessly clean, well run, delightful to be a guest there. our room was spacious and appeared recently painted. all food is home cooked, and anything we had was simply delicious. my favourite was the pate, and fish pie . I loved the back garden, and the library for a wet day. I highly recommend this hotel, and hopefully will be able to stay there again.

We visited this lovely boutique hotel yesterday as we are having our 2nd day (wedding) here. I was absolutely amazed when I saw the outdoor dining area. It's huge, decorated with lovely decor, loads of seating and a retractable roof for weather. Firstly the food was gorgeous. I had scampi and my partner fish and chips. Secondly the owners were very friendly and we were really impressed when Rebecca came over to chat to us about our big day next year. The personal touch makes all the difference. Can't wait to visit again.

We popped in here to have a bit of lunch. The food was delicious, staff were so nice. But best of all was the green area and toys that the kids could play with. Leaving myself and my mother to have our lunch in peace and quiet while the kids played. Could not fault it at all.

My friends and I went out for dinner recently in the Emmet Hotel, Clonakilty. The staff there were not welcoming and were very unhelpful. When we asked a question they replied very bluntly and rude. Worst of all one of my friends found a hair in her food and when they told staff they didn’t even apologize and took so long to bring out fresh food. Would not recommend this restaurant, none of us enjoyed the experience and it ruined our day.
