Detailed Reviews
This is a very cute glamping set up around 7kms outside of Clonakilty.
There are two pods. I stayed in one for one evening. It was spotlessly clean and on beautifully maintained grounds. The interior was nice and cosy. It was small though not as small as a hotel room that I stayed in in Cork city recently. I had a minimal of interaction with the owners but they were helpful and friendly when I did so. They seem happy to allow customers their privacy. The wifi was patchy and mobile data did not really work but it’s a comfortable place to chill, read a book and listen to the wind chimes hanging in the garden. I didn’t have breakfast there, and I’m not even sure if that is an option. There is a fridge, cutlery, hot plate and kettle so you can sort your own breakfast out. A car is a must here.

Such a wonderful setup, very clean and comfortable, box of chocolates waiting in the room, 2 minutes drive into Clonakilty, best sleep I’ve had in ages. Lovely patio area with bbq and heater, nicer than any hotel room but you have your own garden. The owners are very friendly. A must try for anyone in the area, I’ll certainly be back.

Realmente recomendable.

We rely on the ‘superhost’ designation to guide us in choosing our stays. It is essential to us that a host not discriminate, but treat all guests with an equal degree of courtesy and respect. Paula prides herself on being deemed a ‘superhost.’ Sadly, Paula did not live up to this standard during our stay.
To us, Paula was rude and unhelpful from the moment she laid eyes on us. During check-in she was literally ‘in our faces,’ no more than a few centimeters away, bombarding us with questions in an accusatory tone, such as ‘do you like this?’ ‘how do you like that?, as though she were challenging us to a fight.
She only sketchily covered how to perform some of the basic functions like using the shower, and not covering at all others like how to lock the door. She left after a minute or two of this, without giving us time to look around or ask questions. Subsequently, she made no effort to contact us during the entire four nights of our stay.
Then, moments before our departure, she approached us once more, inquiring solicitously ‘how we liked our stay?’
I won’t go over the exchange in its entirety. But the long and short of it was that, if we had experienced any problems or deficiencies, it was our fault. To take but one example: to our wish that we’d had more towels (she had supplied just two bath towels - no hand towels, no floor mat), she replied that ‘you should have come to me! I would have been glad to supply more towels!’
As if we would ever have considered approaching her with a request after our experience at check-in. What’s more, the time for her to pass on such information was at check-in. By check-out time, it was way too late.
Summing up: Very far from what we expected from a ‘superhost.’.
