Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The house and gardens were beautiful. Breakfasts were cooked to order and a good choice of fruit and yoghurts for all tastes. The only downside was the shower, it was like standing under a tap. No pressure at all. We were frightened to move it in case it fell apart. Looked like it was caked in limescale. When we mentioned it to the owner he said he was 'waiting for a man to visit, he should have come the day we arrived, he also said the pipes were over 30 years old so he couldn't do it himself'. Just read a review that states there was the same problem in February. Note to owner, Get a more reliable plumber!!. Such a shame as everything else was lovely, but in the heatwave we could have done with a powerful shower at the end of the day.

Our room had plenty of space and an ensuite bathroom. The breakfast had a fantastic fruit bowl, cereal and toast. Our eggs were cooked to order. The irish breakfast was great. There was off street parking with plenty of room for the guests. In the evening there was place to gather if you desired. Everyone was friendly. A great place to stay.

The room was wonderful, warm and plenty of tea was waiting. Breakfast was a feast and it was laid out faithfully. I only stayed one night and was late checking in. I also forgot to bring cash to pay. The gentleman never grumbled and would not take a tip after he drove me to a bank machine.

I find the standard of Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Ireland only average. This B&B is only average. The room was a family room and quite large. The room was warm and appeared to be clean. Unfortunately the bed sheets were stained even though they seemed washed which is a little off putting. The WiFi signal was not great, signal kept dropping. The shower was poor and requires maintenance, no pressure through the rose head. It’s a pity because the hosts seemed friendly.

This is a beautiful house with an ideal location on the edge of Midleton. It must be about a half mile from the Jameson distillery. The distillery is well worth touring even if you aren't a whiskey drinker. We had a very nice room with a large bathroom. The living and dining areas were lovely. An excellent breakfast. The best part was visiting with Willy in the morning. He recommended that we take a quick drive to Cobh which proved to be a great suggestion. My friends and I also met a nice young man from New Zealand who we invited on the next leg of our trip to Dingle.

I highly recommend this guest house, it is very beautiful! Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. We were greeted by the owner, a very nice man who couldn't do enough for us and made us feel right at home! Beds were very comfortable and we slept very well! Breakfast next morning was very tasty and plenty of everything! They were also very accommodating of our 4 year olds picky eating habits and she's still asking about Toby the very cute dog! We will most definitely be returning!

One of the best B/Bs I have stayed at. We arrived later than requested but were given a warm welcome by the landlord Willy. We had three rooms, each comfortable and of a high standard. To be ultra picky, my room was under the eaves and a small notice warning me to mind my head was the very spot I walked into in the night. The toilet was also under the eaves and it would take a very small man to be able to use it standing up. The breakfast was first class, a full selection of cooked breakfasts plus a fine continental buffet. The host was friendly and attentive and happy to share his wide local knowledge All this plus a lovely large garden to relax in. This is a perfect overnight stop, ideal to break the journey from the ferry to the South West of Ireland. A small suggestion

My friends and I spent one night in this b&b. We left Dublin around 8pm and thought it will then be easy to find the place by night, unfortunately we weren't familiar with the Irish roads and by night the place wasn't easy to find, so I would totally recommend to arrive there during day time. Apart from this, Willie was absolutely amazing helping us find the place, welcoming us and giving us great tips in the morning on the best places to see around. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was also great with lots of choices and Willie was very attentive to our needs. I would totally recommend this place situated in a lovely area with a big garden and close to the city. Thanks Willie for the good time!

Great place to stay, we were well looked after by Willie and Triona! Part of a video crew working on a local event at the time we stayed, we woke to a delicious breakfast before hitting the road back to Dublin! 10/10 Thanks folks!
