We stayed at Longueville to celebrate good friends renewal of their marriage vows at the place they had married ten years earlier. From the moment we pulled up we knew we were in a special place. A beautiful Georgian Heritage Mansion set on 500 acres, Longueville is the personification of what I expected Ireland to be. No impersonal reception desk...

My daughter is getting married here next year, so we wanted to know what made special for her. On arrival we were shown into a beautifully appointed sitting room ( would say 200 years old) and the waiter came to take a drinks order. The speciality of the house is its own cider and apple brandy( not before lunch!). We...

My husband and I stayed at Longueville House at the end of August and we had a wonderful time. When we drove up the long winding driveway we were met outside and warmly greeted by Jane O'Callaghan who has spent her life making Longueville House what it is. Inside we were also warmly welcomed by Aisling O'Callaghan, the lovely present...

This is the place to be to have a complete break. Everything really was just superb. The welcome, the homely feeling about the place; the leisurely fireside reads, the wonderful walks in the walled garden, the courtyard, the wide open spaces and wonderful views. The food was exceptional, with all the ingredients taken that morning from the garden. The room...

Booked the celebratory afternoon tea for a birthday. On arrival the grounds are breath taking and you are taken back by the grand house. Greeted by a wonderful member of staff we were shown to our table. We received champagne, then tea/coffee. The food was amazing! Most of the produce was harvested from the garden or locally sourced, and the meat...

Longueville is a lovely hotel, one I have been too before. This visit was for a family wedding and one again it was a grand experience. The view from the hotel, across the field of sheep, down the hills, off into the distance is incredible. The public rooms are so beautiful, with the tall ceilings, the grand moldings, the chandeliers,...

We have stayed here on many occasions and William and Aishling continue to surprise. The staff that they have selected are wonderful. They all seem to be ever present and are permanently cheerful. I cannot describe how sensational the good is so let me just say it was sensational. Ingredients were from the farm but the way they were cooked...

Longueville house offers a country get-away. It's half way between Cork and Killarney so it's perfect for a two-centre holiday. It's a period home - one of few left in the country with some character and charm. The staff (Emma and Gabor) are extremely friendly and only eager to assist and make your stay wonderful. The sitting room, parlor and...
