Superb experience from arrival to departure. The best of country houses, warm, welcoming, so many lovely touches from afternoon tea to quality gourmet food using local homegrown produce. It's a quiet retreat with trails, orchards, cider and apple brandy. Loved our spacious spotless room. Thanks.

This was not an ordinary stay in an ordinary hotel. This was a complete experience filled with character & warmth. Our experience of the Mushroom hunting weekend was superb. The hospitality of the OCallaghan family & staff was incredibly. Old world bedrooms with beautiful views in addition to log fire sitting rooms for predinner drinks. The food was superb, from farm & orchard to table, the apple brandy delicious. Everybody from staff to other guests had a shared interest in enjoying themselves & being friendly. A highly recommended experience. We'll be back.

I ate in Longueville last night. Fabulous food. William O'Callagan, chef/proprietor came out and explained the menu and provenance of the food, nearly all local or home produced. Its a set menu. Explanations or descriptions wouldn't do it justice. Go stay and eat.

Aisling and William are exceptional hosts! We were travelling from Dublin on Friday evening and Aisling rang us on our way to make sure she was including us in the guest numbers for dinner. We swiftly checked in and were put at ease in the living room where we enjoyed a drink while William explained the evening's menu. What followed was one of the best meals I have eaten in Ireland and the rest of the weekend brought more of the same. This should be one of Ireland's top foodie destinations. We'll be back!

Longueville House is one of those unique places that allows you to remove yourself completely from your day-to-day life. It's like stepping into another world, away from the humdrum of work, traffic, and everyday worries. The house is set amidst beautiful scenery and magnificent old trees. We stayed in the Brittas room, which overlooked the front garden. It was just beautiful. We arrived in time for afternoon tea in the drawing-room. Dinner each evening was a feast, using mostly locally sourced produce. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. It's a place that we would like to return to again. There is plenty to do and see locally. Mallow is an interesting town, with a beautiful castle. Blarney, which is only a short drive away, is magnificent and we spent a lovely afternoon in the gardens of Blarney Castle and House. Truly beautiful. Nearby, Mount Hillary has some lovely looped walks. Visit Longueville House now - you won't regret it.
