We spent a very enjoyable last evening in Ireland at Heatherview. Jim and Maura were very welcoming and helpful. They ensured that we had a plentiful and delicious breakfast before we headed off on a very short journey (following Jim's excellent directions) to the airport. The family room and a double room were the perfect combination for our family of... More

I stayed at Heatherview for 6 nights whilst visiting Dublin for my 60th birthday which fell on St Patricks Day. My best mate and his wife, and my 21 year old son and 36 year old daughter also stayed there with me. Heatherview is well located with a bus service just at the front door. Nearby Malahide village is about... More

My wife and I set out to travel Europe for 12 months and began our journey in Ireland. Heatherview was the first B&B of many during our trip. Located in Malahide, 20 minutes drive from Dublin. The bus service runs directly from outside the B&B, which is very handy. It runs into Malahide and also to Dublin. It's also a... More

The B&B is located on a busy road not far from the airport. However, the thick hedge surrounding the property makes the place pictoresque, and blocks out the sound of the traffic. The rooms were very clean and stylish, although the bathroom was a bit small. The hosts, Jim and Maura, were very warm and welcoming. They also helpful in... More

Words could not describe Heatherview. We stayed here at the beginning of our Irish holiday and what an impression. Jim and Maura welcomed us as we arrived straight from the airport at 9am. We had room 3,a huge double room at the end of the building. Even though the house was on a main road and near the airport the... More

I was treated like an old friend from almost the moment I rang the bell. As it was October I had assumed I could just arrive and hope for the best and I was lucky - lucky that I found such a good place. Maura was immediately attentive without being intrusive and she shared her immense local knowledge willingly. The... More

We stayed here on the last night of our trip, before getting a ferry early the next morning. We were leaving at 6am, and the proprietor said he would leave a breakfast basket on our bed before we got back from dinner. We were very impressed with the size and quality of this. We were also left a map of... More

I last reviewed Heatherview in 2007 but I have stayed there every year since my first visit to the Dublin area. I would think of staying no place else. When we arrived on this visit ,Jim Halpin, the proprietor greeted me with a warm "Welcome Home." Indeed it does feel like returning to the familiar surroundings of a home away... More

This was a great B&B for our last night in Ireland. The rooms were large and clean. The walk to town was a bit of a hike on foot but an easy cab ride. We had an early flight but Jim and Maura left a huge bowl of fruit, yogurt and cereal for us. Jim also gave us quick and... More

Lovely people, good breakfast. Room clean but cold as heating is turned off at night. Good knowledge of area and restaurant/pub recommendations. Malahide worth a visit, castle tour etc. Owners love to share stories!
