Just returned from a one night stay at this lovely house. From start to finish we were made welcome, the hospitality was first class. Francis is a wonderful host. The room was spotless and the breakfast amazing. Can’t wait to return 😎
I stayed 1 night in Lough Key House. The time I spent there was perfect. The house is uniquely decorated, very clean and quite. Breakfast was superb. Francis, the host, was friendly but not too much all over me. If anyone is looking for tranquillity this house is for it.
My room was charming and well cared for. No TV but I enjoyed it not being there for a night and there is a TV downstairs along with big warm fireplace and tons of books. Her breakfast was very good and you should give yourself time to enjoy it as she serves a lot of food natural foods. Her house is very easy to find, near lots of things to do and lots of parking..
Stayed here for two nights. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Annie who was so lovely and helpful throughout our stay. The 'cream' room was lovely with a four poster bed and ensuite shower. Electric blanket on the bed for the chilly evening. Lovely selection for breakfast in the dining room where one large oval table is shared amongst the guests. The fire was lit here each morning before breakfast which was lovely. Cozy fireplace took in the sitting room where you can relax, have a drink, play music, read a book from the collection or watch a movie if you fancy. The lough key forest park is immediately next door, so perfect for nature lovers or activities such as zip wiring, boating, etc. Boyle is close by and some other nice restaurants in the vicinity (we had a fab meal in The Moorings, less than 10 minutes away). We would return. …
