Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous Hotel!! Spotlessly clean. Staff are extremely polite and friendly. The rooms are so warm and cosy. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was absolutely spectacular. It was an extremely cold, icy night and when in the bar/restaurant and the lobby afterwards it was cold when doors got opened with people coming in and out. We had to get out coats to put round us. None the less we had a fabulous stay at the Diamond Cost and have already planned a return trip. I would like to give mention to our waiter Tommy who was so helpful and always had a smile on his face at every table he went to, he was a very polite and helpful young lad.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights as we were attending a wedding. The room was lovely, we stayed in the executive suite which was very spacious and bed was comfortable. However, on our final night stay, at 1.30am the fire alarm sounded which woke us from our sleep. We were unsure what was happening and soon realised the electricity had gone. Throughout the rest of the night and morning until we checked out at 12pm, the electricity repeatedly went off and on every few minutes which was extremely frustrating! We could not go back to sleep as the fire alarm kept triggering and the lights kept going on and off. We could not use the shower as there no electricity to use the hair dryer, the bathroom had no lights which was an inconvenience when needing to use the bathroom and our phones had now battery as we could not use a charger. Supposedly, there was a back up generator but had not been the case otherwise there would have been power in the room. This was far from ideal after enjoying the 2 nights previous and wanting to enjoy our final night stay feeling relaxed when checking out and this was far from being the case. When we were checking out, there were also plenty of other guests who were not happy with the response from the receptionist and we were charged full price (€600) for the B&B stay even though we could not avail of the breakfast on the final morning. Overall myself and my partner did enjoy our stay prior to this inconvenience but I felt the hotel could have been more accommodating in acknowledging what had happened and offer a gesture for the inconvenience.

We spent the weekend in the diamond coast, Friday and Saturday. Nothing but praise from start to finish. The staff were so friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the food in the bistro was very tasty. A special word for the barman Peter who entertained not only us but the others at the bar, he is an old style barman, a word for everyone. Thank you team.

We arrived at the Diamond Coast for the first time, really can’t believe we haven’t been here before this. We attended a wedding. The hotel was just fabulous, amazing Christmas decorations all over which was beautiful. The drinks reception at the wedding was fabulous as was the food in the hotel second to none. Staff extremely friendly. The bedroom was so spacious just lovely with a large bathroom. Really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return.

From the moment we arrived the warmth and hospitality extended by the staff was remarkable. Every member of the staff from reception to the restaurant waiters and waitresses contributed to creating an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. The super king room was amazing with tea/coffee facilities and a fridge, everything you could wish for. I will certainly recommend your hotel to friends and family and I look forward to the opportunity to stay with you again in the future.
