The best breakfast I have ever had. Granola (homemade) with berry compote and natural yoghurt was delicious. The Waterfront Full Irish was a continual surpirising experience of delightful flavours, textures and aromas. From the substantial bacon to the delicate spicey white pudding with fluffy, crispy sautee potatoes and juicy mushrooms and tomato on the side, the whole ensemble was a joy from start to finish.
The view of the beach was so interesting that I sat by the window looking out for five minutes at the line of surfers bearing boards on the way to the sea which was all of two hundred yards away from the dunes.
The room was palatial with a very comfortable king size double and a single bed as well as a table, armchairs and upright chairs. The ensuite was also enormous with bath, shower, toilet and basin, as well as a connecting dressing-room/luggage room.

Disliked · A slight stale smell on first entering the building was the only imperfection. However this disappeared as one became accustomed to it. Opening the windows also helped as the beautiful fresh sea air flooded into the room.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Waterfront.
We stayed about the same time last year and were able to post a faultless review.
If possible, this year was even better.
Breakfast offers a wide choice of tasty options and dinners are so good that we ate in each evening of our stay.
Within a minute you can be on the pristine beach and you'll often have it to yourself.
Rooms are spacious, spotless, and most have an uninterrupted sea view.
Staff are polite and helpful.
You really couldn't ask for more.

The hotel is set on the seafront with stunning views Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great and freshly cooked which is so much better than the usual buffet breakfast
I would recommend this hotel to stay in. It’s also a short walk to the town centre the beach and oier right beside it allow for great walks

This trip was very disappointing. Firstly, they had difficulty with our booking and we had to change rooms half-way through our stay, which is fine, but they told us it was our fault for booking with bookings.com (but we had actually booked directly through their website!) The service was generally slow & a little rude. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The food in the restaurant was shocking. Just one example: I'm vegetarian and was surprised at how bad the options were. I chose a butternut squash & vegetable curry that was inedible – the curry sauce tasted like it was really processed and out of a jar, and there was no butternut squash in, but cucumber! I've never seen cucumber in a curry and think it was a mistake. I wish I had complained instead of spending €18 on it as I could barely eat it.

My two friends and I have had overnight stays recently at the Waterfront house hotel. What a beautiful place with spectacular views of the ocean, bay, beach and distant mountains. We enjoyed the sights and the sound of lapping waves from the dining room, outdoor seating area and the bedroom.
Jackie and staff were exceptionally professional, kind and caring. Thanks so much.
The dinner and breakfast menus provide a varied choice of delicious food.
As I have recently become a wheelchair user, l am aware of accessibility in a whole new way. The Waterfront has given careful thought to ramped areas, lift, dining room layout, bedroom design and an equipped large bathroom.
Looking forward to returning again soon to this beautiful hotel overlooking the sea.

We have visited Enniscrone many times over the years but this was our first stay at Waterfront House Hotel.
Why we have waited so long I do not know.
This must be one of the best small hotels in the whole of Ireland.
The setting is amazing. What a treat to open the curtains each day to the endless panorama of sand, sea and sky.
Owner and staff manage to enhance the views by offering first class service, fantastic food and a friendly ambiance.
Despite being aware of a number of fine eateries close by, we ate in Waterfront's restaurant on each of our 4 evenings.
The ingredients are locally sourced where possible and are top quality, skilfully cooked and beautifully presented.
The breakfast menu is interesting and can be varied. We were reduced to asking for smaller portions after only the first day.
The a la carte menu is bolstered by 4 or 5 specials each night and the wine list is short but well selected.
Bedrooms and lounge/foyer area are really comfortable.
You can be walking on the endless expanse of pristine beach with only the odd heron or surfer for company within a minute of leaving the hotel.
This was the perfect short break.
Well done Waterfront House Hotel.

We stayed here back in August. Really nice looking hotel. It was in the middle of covid restrictions so there really wasn't much atmosphere in the bar area, it is more just a service bar really. We ate in the restaurant our first night there, it was very nice but again no buzz about at all. The steak was slightly too well done but was edible. They were out of the drink I ordered after 2 drinks on the first night and the next evening when we went in to have a drink they still did not have it. It was nothing exotic, just a beer that could have been picked up in any supermarket. As it was strict Covid restrictions at the time I would have felt a lot better if the girls on reception had worn masks, there was a partial screen but still it would have been good to see them make the effort. One particular glass door between the dining room/bar area and the lobby had the same hand print on it for the 3 days we were there. It is a nice hotel but there does not seem to be a dining room manager or front desk manager. Lots of young kids waitering and they were very nice but definitely needed some training. We got our teas/coffee and 5 mins later got the milk/sugar. Got our hot breakfast and as we finished that , our toast arrived. Superb view of the beach and the reason we booked it was because of where it was located. Don't know if I would return, maybe for a one night stay.

Went to celebrate husbands birthday and was looking forward to it as we had eaten here before and liked the food. This time it was not good. Husband had turkey which was tough. Chowder was very thick - I know chefs differ on this but it was more like mashed potato and not very nice at all. The bread was nice. Desert was there for days and thrown out. But the most thing that totally spoiled our evening was the presence of two very unruly young children who basically ran amok, shouting and lying on the floor, cushions from their seats scattered on the floor etc. This restaurant seriously needs to adopt a after 6pm no children allowed policy. It is simply unacceptable to spend €100 on a mediocre meal with kids running amok and nobody said anything to them. You go out to a place like this to celebrate not be subjected to a noisy chaotic evening. We weren’t the only diners who were furious about it. Won’t be returning anytime soon. Poor value for money.

We were met with a warm welcome at this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable with large windows that overlooked the bay
Our breakfasts taken in the restaurant offered lots of choice and what we chose was delicious. We eat again in the restaurant each evening of our 3 night stay and the food again was superb and I could tell it was cooked with care
Had a very enjoyable stay, took some trips out in our car which just highlighted the beauty of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to killcullen seaweed baths just a few steps along the road
Would highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing break away with good good and service

Anyone travelling to the north west should have a stay at the Waterfront on their schedule. Perfectly located near the seaweed baths and the pier and ideal for a morning walk before breakfast. Jackie and all her staff are genuinely friendly and helpful and in the evening restaurant for dinner is also excellent. Top marks to all involved and I would highly recommend the Waterfront for a stay or an evening meal

I stayed in a room with a double bed and a single bed - I would recommend giving them a call - response to email is a little delayed, although I understand the time difference as well
