Sometimes we only leave bad reviews but for this hotel I couldn't fault it. Everything was just lovely. We had a family room....plenty big for 2 adults and 2 kids. Food in the restaurant was delish and all staff were friendly and helpful. Just 5 mins walk to the beach which was like being abroad when the sun shined. Playground at rear of hotel. Kids loved it but you had to pay to enter. €4 each was well worth it. Arcade nearby too....again kids loved it. Such a lovely relaxing break will defo be back!

My family and I spent 2 nights in one of the apartments in the hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic and our apartment looked right down on to the beach. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was fabulous as was the service. It’s value for money too! Everything was exceptional from start to finish, between service, location, and cleanliness everything is 5 stars. Special thanks for the Prosecco and chocolates for our Mammys birthday, a very nice touch. We highly highly recommend this hotel to stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much to all the staff!

Stayed there with my family and our dog for 3 nights and found it a wonderful place to stay. Location was fantastic with an amazing beach for walks and swims. Ate in the hotel every night of our stay and between is all tried most dishes on the menu and couldn't fault any of it. Orders were promptly taken and food was delivered in good time. The best part of the trip though was the warm and welcoming staff in all areas. They couldn't have helped us more with our stay and the welcome we received and our dog received was amazing. Lovely to see so many dogs around the hotel and would highly recommend as a trip if you have a pet. We got the 3 night package with breakfast and dinner and was a great value for money. Sometimes the dinner package menu can be trimmed down but the quality of choice in the Ocean sands was exceptional. Room for a large family and a dog was the perfect size that allowed us space. All in all a great trip that will e recommended to any one looking for a wonderful break. Credit to all the staff that have really taken to looking after guests.

We visited Easter Monday afternoon for lunch. Plenty ofvstaff running around yet we were left standing at the 'wait to be seated sign" for nearly 20 mins, we were top of the line. We were eventually seated to notice lots of empty tables. We ordered 3 toasted sandwiches, a seafood chowder,2 soft drinks , 1 tea and a cappicino for afters the soup. The drinks arrived promptly, including the coffee. The staff kept walking around, no one making eye contact. I eventually got someone to come over to us and asked if our lunch was ready as we'd been sitting for a hdlf an hr. It was promply served then. The sandwiches were amazing. But the chowder as tasteless and milky rather than creamy. We asked for a portion of chips and were served matchstick chips, fine until we saw table next to us being served lovely chunky chips.

Stayed at the Ocean Sands Hotel and Apartments while on our trip to Ireland. The hotel was catering to a wedding party during our stay, and upgraded us from a standard room to a 2 bedroom apartment right on the Atlantic! They even provided the apartment with coffee, tea, and biscuits during our stay. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. I highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay last night in the hotel. Food was lovely. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast. The staff at lunch and dinner were excellent. Robert at dinner couldn't have done any better. The reception staff were lovely and very sociable. Breakfast was the only time we experienced an issue with a staff member. The oldest of the waitresses was of no help. There was only two other tables so she wasn't busy but she made no effort to offer us tea, coffee etc. To top it off she wasn't even wearing a mask. The only staff member we saw without a mask while we were there. The two young waitresses who appeared at breakfast after that were very helpful. Gave the hotel 5 out of 5 for service as they didn't deserve a deduction over one staff member. The hotel is in a perfect spot next to the beach. Public areas are all spotless and there's a lovely smell all over the building. We will definitely be back.

Lovely clean room with the fabulous view of the beach & hearing the ocean while lying in bed being the key highlight of this hotel experience. Unexpected extras for the price - plenty of toiletries, robe/slippers and the complimentary chocolates were a nice touch. Only negative was breakfast. The self serve area is cramped and I actually didn't eat anything from the buffet as it was swimming in grease. I know buffet breakfasts tend to be fried fare but some options could be baked or grilled.

This evening we visited the Ocean Sands hotel/Restaurant. The food was okay nothing special. We ordered an extra portion of veggies and rice. Waited ten minutes on the veg and meal nearly finished, 15-20 minutes on rice and sent it back as meal was finished. Service was very poor with absolutely no interaction between staff and customers. This was not a pleasant visit and one I'd say safely we won't be taking again anytime soon.
