At the Allingham Arms Hotel, many guests rave about the clean, comfortable rooms, some boasting beautiful sea views and modern conveniences. The vibrant live music and dances contribute to an energetic atmosphere, although there have been mentions of noise and some dissatisfaction with the management. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, the value assessments vary, with some guests pointing out reasonable pricing and others commenting on unexpected additional costs. The service is largely commended for its friendliness, despite occasional reports of inconsistency. Amenities are well-received, though a few remarks about dated decor have surfaced. Came here as a couple using their Sunday voucher deal not knowing what to expect as it was our first time visting the hotel. May we say from the moment we arrived, until checkout the staff could not be more helpful. Room 127 in which we stayed was spotless and breakfast and dinner included were very tasty. We stayed in hotels all over the country and we agreed the staff are amazing and a credit to the hotel and very authentic. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and honest customer servive will not be beaten. Thanks for a lovely stay and keep up the good work.

Absolutely delighted with my two recent stays; breakfast-excellent, cleanliness and comfort of the rooms -excellent ; evening dinner -excellent (compliments to the chefs), staff interactions and service - excellent. I really was impressed and I have stayed in very many hotels around the country over a couple of decades . Outstanding value for money! I have to stay in a lot hotels as part of my work as well, though this stay was for leisure. I really was impressed with this hotel, the standards were consistent over the two stays , they even gave me a call to let me know I left my shoes behind , I have left items in other hotels from time to time and I never in my life got a call back on them. I am hugely impressed with the standards , I will definitely be back again!

The location in Bundoran is quite central with good off-street parking. View from restaurant and bars is scenic and out to sea. The hotel is well laid out and decoratively well maintained. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The shower was fine but had very poor flow.
The food was fine albeit rather expensive with a portion of chips costing 5 euros! The staff were very friendly, well-trained and efficient.

We travelled last minute and the hotel was very nice about accommodating some mobility issues, room was near the elevator and no steps, shower had a low floor access.

Good value contential breakfast, though maybe because hotel was busy you had to book your time slot

One issue would be the entrance, no push button automatic door opener as doors heavy and not easily managed without manual assistance.

Car park is reasonably sized, but if car park is busy you might need to park across the road in a 24/7 free public car park.

If you don’t like country music, this might not be a hotel for you, country act every night in the bar, but couldn't hear it up on the second floor if you can't be bothered.

I had an issue with a light in the room, reported to reception in the morning fixed when we returned that night

In spite of the very wet weather we really enjoyed our 2 nights in the Allingham Arms, everyone who worked there was so friendly, the food was so tasty with loads of options and no booking required. The rooms were comfortable and there was music in the bar both nights until 10:30pm. Most families sat in the lobby to listen with their kids while the older couples danced the evening away. We will definitely be returning and hopefully the next time the sun might shine on us!

Everything was 5 star in the hotel but the only thing that I can fault is for the buffet breakfast the cutlery/plates/cups/bowls had not been cleaned properly, they had bits of food like weetabix stuck to them it was very hard to find a clean bowl for my corn flakes. I didn’t mind this as such but other people wouldn’t be so happy about it and they are dead right to ware should be washed properly or not at all. But apart from that the stay was amazing lovely quiet place rooms were lovely and clean and staff were lovely

So dissapointed with the Allingham Arms, Bundoran. My wife and myself have been regular gusts for over eight years. We were booked in for Friday night B&B €130 and when there booked Saturday for €160
My wife took ill on Friday evening and after puking blood in the room had to go to hospital.
Allingham rang me on Saturday to say they couldn't refund any of the €290 we paid because they had to clean the carpet in the room.
So much for loylal customers and sympathy for guests taking ill while resident at their hotel.
Well I hope they enjoy my hard earned cash because it will be the last penny they will see from me. Talk about kicking you when you are down.😡😡😡😡

Thank you for your review. Trip Advisor is a great forum which afford guests the opportunity to leave constructive reviews, however it also gives the business the opportunity to respond to inaccurate reviews. Whilst our staff was assisting you in opening the bedroom door, the lady in question started to vomit in the public corridor and when you refused to leave your bedroom to assist her, one of the staff had to enter your room, take the bin and towels and come to her aid. There was no blood in this instance. When the lady continued to vomit in the bedroom, staff requested access to the room to clean up which you also refused and when informed about the cleaning charge, you gladly accepted. If you had let the staff into the bedroom at this time there would have been no issue. When staff gained entry, the room was in a particularly bad way and could not be sold for a further 2 nights as the room had to be deep cleaned. When the hotel rang you on Saturday to follow up, you again informed them there was no issue with the cleaning charge. I would therefore question why you felt it necessary to post this review given that our staff were more than helpful throughout your stay.

Just checked out this morning and had a lovely time but absolutely appalled with the manners of the staff in the restaurant, it was management. The woman who was taking people to their seats was so rude, proceeded to drag us away from a table, pulling us by the arm because we misunderstood what table to go to!!! I stayed June 21st and left today and although the buffet of the breakfast was excellent, the environment which was created by management was extremely uncomfortable, shouting at staff from across the restaurant telling them what to do and being exceptionally rude to paying customers!!! I hope this is dealt with appropriately unlike her behavior. Hotel rooms are clean and well kept. Reception staff were so helpful and bar staff were kind when helping us find out the location for sea sessions events

My wife and I stayed for a weekend as part of a Country music weekend and we returned home today. Our experience could be better. We were given wrist bands and checked in and assigned our room. The Room was fine but the shower head needed to be descaled as there only was a thin scream of water and this was room 328 other than that it was comfortable with an array of channels to watch on the TV. It had a double and single bed. All the staff were lovely and friendly and did there best.

We were all assigned to sit at tables at one section of the restaurant for the duration. Long tables were all joined together and we were all at the center tables which for some strange reasons we were always the last to be served or have our orders taken. Tables ahead of us or behind us were always served first and you could be seated for three quarters of an hour before being served any food. The food was delicious and the breakfast was self service which was fine also. What did annoy people sitting on either side of us when we finally got the dinner there would be only about two plates of veg and we ended up without getting any as by the time it reached us it was empty. Simply there was not enough veg to go around or else they had run out ? Why did they always have to leave the center tables for last to be served ?

Another gripe we noticed with ourselves and others also who were attending the dancing over the weekend and all held the same views was why the dance floor was very sticky and especially for waltzing on. I have no idea why they did not shake some dance floor powder on the floor as most of the people attending were elderly anyway as it would make waltzing easier on people who had hip problems.

Having attended other dancing venues in the past which catered for dancing weekends away this was never a problem with the dance floors so please take note.

But over all we enjoyed the event other than the few minor gripes which I have mentioned in this review.
