Great location 10 min walk to town along the costal walk... great 4 bedroom houses with good WiFi connection and very clean we had a small problem with a leak and it was fixed very quickly without any inconvenience. The staff really friendly and very helpful we enjoyed our 4 days there and will have no hesitation in staying there again

Stayed here once they had reopened after lock down & it did not disappoint. Situated in a lovely area just a few mins drive or a lovely stroll along the coast. The house was so spacious & spotlessly clean. I also noticed on one day a house across the way from us after they checked out the lady cleaning it was in there for well over 2 hours so they are taking no chances with the standard of cleaning during the pandemic & have to be highly commended for doing so. Staff are extremely helpful checking on you after you check in to see all ok. Yes you do have to be out at 10am sharp they do come knocking but I think as I mentioned before the fact they are taking longer to clean each house after your departure is probably alot of the reason behind this. The house is fully equiped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay & should you need to cook meals in then you dont have to bring a thing. Towels & Linen are also supplied which again is most handy & saves you bringing them. I would highly recommend these holiday homes to anyone my only regret is we didnt stay longer but will return if we are ever back up near Bundoran.

Dear Mlauren, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are delighted you felt the house was cleaned well, our staff do work hard to ensure this happens for their customers. We are sorry that we have to have a 10am check out as all the houses are back in the same day and do take rather longer to clean. However in the winter time we are more than happy to offer later check outs, if the house is not out the same day. It was a shame you could not stay longer, never mind we would love to welcome you back next time. Many thanks

Just back from a week stay at Portbeg Holiday Homes. Houses are really spacious and equipped with everything you would need for a week away with the family. Location is perfect, within walking distance to Bundoran centre and lots of outdoor swimming areas nearby. Staff were really friendly and helpful but also give you your own space to enjoy your holiday. The grounds are very well maintained and safe for children and dogs. Plenty of hand sanitizer around and staff always wore masks. Thank you and see you again soon!

Very poor standard accommodation. Very shabby. The window in one room was completely rotted and warped with mould and could not be closed. No one could sleep in that room as a result due to the smell and the cold. The beds are desperately in need of new mattresses. There was also a filthy old bottle of detergent left on the sink and a bag of filthy dishcloths. The glasses in the press were dirty and wet. I paid almost 300 euros for two nights here and they took a 150 euro security deposit on arrival. They also kick you out at 10am and threaten not to give the deposit back if you're not in your car when they arrive. I have stayed in many places in Ireland and was very disappointed in this property. Book somewhere else.

Dear Mayleam2020, Thank you for reviewing the Marine View house. We thank you for your comments on the Velux window and apologise as we are waiting for a new one to be fitted which could not get delivered due to the stock levels at Covid period. We will pass the mattress comments to maintenance. However we can assure you all the dishcloths given on arrival are new products, and staff also have a strict cleaning regime. We do not accept the term "kick you out " our staff would never be so rude and never have they threatened anyone that they would not give a deposit back due to this. You have to appreciate and accept check out is 10 am as per the booking conditions on booking. We hope your next accommodation suits your requirements. Marine View.

one of the staff, an English lady, was rude but another girl was lovely.
slight damp smell in the house.
Really impressed with the size of the house except for the small living room.
Major noise problem with the house, seriously creaky/noisy wooden stairs and upstairs floors. There was an 8month old and 2year old staying and people walking up the stairs woke them which was frustrating. i would get my 8 month off to sleep but after putting her in the cot, walking to the bed was so noisy it woke her up which was really upsetting for both of us. The bed in the upstairs room was also really noisy, so noise was a serious issue with this house and badly impacted our holiday. one of the guests said she couldn't go down in the night for a glass of water for fear of waking anyone with the noise of the stairs - i cannot emphasise how loud they were! it really isn't acceptable when you're paying just short of 1000 euros for 4 nights to have stairs and floors that creek so loudly people/children are awoke from their sleep with it.
The location is amazing. The walk into Bundoran is so beautiful along the nuns walk, the views are stunning. The estate the houses are in is beautifully maintained and tidy, with pretty flowers and I never once saw any rubbish laying around.
Dangerous bit of metal sticking up from the floor behind the door.
Overall we had a nice stay but because of the noise of the house we will be looking for alternative accommodation when we return to Bundoran next year.

The accommodations were very poor, and you could tell the house wasn’t deep cleaned. There was 3 roles of toilet paper meant to be enough for 8 people over the weekend, 4 towels for us as well. The chairs in the living room were broken, and most doors didn’t have functioning locks. The staff were extremely rude and honestly creeped us out. The check out time was 10am, staff walked into our cottage at 9:55 telling us to get up and get moving. Another staff member returned at 10:00 on the dot and was ordering us around like children to collect any cups for our room and to get cleaning. Considering the price of this stay, it’s outrageous that we were expected to sweep up the place, strip the beds, and clean the dishes… she came into our rooms when some were gathering their last things, ordering them to hurry up and get out of the house. The owner should never come into the house with the guests still there, walking around and ordering us about it was shockingly rude. Do not come here if you don’t like to be bossed around like a child by the staff. I understand if guests are overstaying late and they get kicked out but I feel this type of reaction in our case is unreasonable.

Stayed in Marine View last week. Everything listed by Portbeg was there exactly as stated. The house was clean and had everything we required. With teenagers and 4 adults WiFi was essential and it didn’t disappoint. Likewise the large tv and digital channels were really appreciated. There is ample parking. My family has been going to Bundoran for many years and we have stayed in hotels, campsites and rental accommodation: Portbeg is right up there. The location is one of its strongest suits as it is only a short walk down to the seafront and Bundoran’s busier East End. We did have an issue with the shower but it was sorted within an hour by Ken who also welcomed us when we arrived. First impressions mean everything and Ken and Joanne immediately put us at our ease and we knew we were in good hands. It is marvellous to find a property which will accommodate family pets.Looking forward to next year when we wiil return.

The guy at the desk (I assume his name was leo based on the other negative reviews) was very rude, terrible attitude warned us 3 times to be quiet before we had even gotten to the house and asked how many other people are staying in the house even though he knew from the reservation there was 7 of us? Spent €536 for 2 nights and this is how we were treated
Also told check out was at 10am and said we had to be in our cars and ready to leave by then and not a moment later or else we would loose our €300 CASH security deposit (also the woman arrived to do the inspection at 9.53am) maybe you guys should be on time too?
Also reading the replies of the reviews it doesn’t seem like you can take the criticism. You guys should really value your customers opinions and take them on board instead of dismissing them.
We also told them when approximately we would be arriving but they rang us several times and asked the same question?
Nice house and area but pity about the staff, wouldn’t stay again or wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

No WiFi throughout the whole stay, had to buy more data for our phones, told it was a supplier issue? Had to find towels in airing cupboard as only bath mats in the bathrooms ,just enough for all of us. Very small welcome pack , one bin liner in the bin ,no condiments like salt and pepper. Things must be left by previous guests. Only one toilet roll in each bathroom no spare had to use tissues. We were only staying two nights so I think this is different from somebody staying a week in what we needed. The two night stay was £620 so expected more. The kitchen wasn’t equipped very well lots of cupboard space but very little in them . Had trouble just reheating a meal we took with us as I medium size dish only. No coffee maker ,unusual these days. Checkout at 10am was early ,we had enjoyed a family Saturday night but had to be up waned ,dressed , packed and fed by 10am ! 11am would be better ,I’m sure 10am is to suit the owners not the guests.

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are sorry that we have to have a 10am check out as all the houses are back in the same day and do take rather longer to clean. Wifi is an issue with Eir providers and out of our control. The welcome pack is free of charge to just start people on arrival. Due to Failte Ireland regulations old food cannot be left in properties. Towels are left in the airing cupboard to ensure cleanliness as per you welcome letter. We hope you enjoyed all the other things, and the surrounding areas. Many thanks

Nice house with plenty of space. House slept 11 so it was a bit odd when we were told that our group could only have 6 people because there was loads of extra beds. House was clean but we were disappointed that not all the toilets were supplied with toilet roll/soap. Location was lovely and it was a pity that we had to be out of the house 10am. When it’s off peak season I was expecting to be able to stay to at least 11am as check in was 3pm.
