We chose Holland House as it was between Donegal and Sligo. It was an ideal location for our exploration of both towns and the environs. The room was wonderfully clean and the hosts were outstanding and friendly. Very quiet neighborhood and incredible views. The breakfast of fresh eggs was absolutely one of the best B&B breakfasts I have encountered. Also, our room was totally designed and fitted to accomodate a person with disabilities—something that further demonstrates the caring and attention to detail of the hosts! A worthy and wonderful stay!! Highly Recommended!!!!

We stayed one night, a group of 5 of us traveling by bicycle on the Kingfisher Trail around Donegal / Fermanagh. The hosts were very welcoming, the rooms were lovely, very clean and comfortable, the showers were hot and just what was needed after a day in the saddle, and the breakfast the next morning was really delicious and filling. Definitely recommended. The hosts also suggested a very nice local restaurant at Creevy Pier which had gorgeous views of the sun setting over the Atlantic and the food was excellent too.

This is a charming place, in a quiet rural area. John and Miriam seem to take turns for being on duty, and they are both pleasant people. When we arrive in the afternoon/evening, we were greeted by John, who helped us get settled in our room. In the morning we were greeted by Miriam, who cooked for us a wonderful breakfast as we sat in the dining area with a large window, looking out at the countryside. Miriam made us a sampling of many items, including white and black pudding. It was delicious and plentiful. After breakfast, we walked around the property and down the lane as far as we could to view the countryside and the North Atlantic.

This was a beautiful place to stay, and we wished that we had planned our itinerary to stay another day. We highly recommend Holland House. If you are new to driving in Ireland, be prepared to drive a single-lane road to the B&B.

We were scheduled to stay for three nights and ultimately stayed an extra night.

The hosts, Miriam and John, were delightful.

The accommodation was impeccably clean. The bedroom was large and airy, with very comfortable beds. The ensuite bathroom with walk in shower was beautiful. There was tea/coffee and treats provided.

It is set in a beautiful sight just outside Ballyshannon. The tranquil surroundings add to the experience.

I couldn't reccomend this place highly enough. I will certainly be returning here on my next trip to south Donegal.

Our stay at Holland House B&B was very nice. This property is rural and we enjoyed the peace & quiet. Miriam greeted us and made sure our ground floor room was acceptable. I had requested this room as I have difficulty with stairs - and it is a great room for someone in a wheelchair - including a "roll in" shower. I had sent a message a few days before arriving to see if they had laundry facilities as we had been on the road for several days! Miriam did a load of clothes for us - she was a lifesaver! John also reserved a table for us at Cleevy's Hotel & Pier for dinner - it was wonderful. Breakfast was a simple buffet and we were offered a full Irish breakfast.

We loved Holland House from the start - we had two twin rooms - and everything was perfect. We were made feel very welcome by John and Miriam and we were very comfortable in lovely rooms in a quiet location. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and the showers were great. The breakfast was wholesome and hot and we went on our way very content and looking forward to a return visit before too long. Many thanks! !

In February I had to unexpectedly take over a school visit in Falkarragh, Donegal (I'm a mobile planetarium operator) and travel from Co. Clare would take more than 5 hrs.
To split this trip up I ended up finding a room at the "Holland House".
My husband thought it was funny since I'm Dutch myself.
I arrived around midnight and Mirjam was there to welcome me and made me feel right at home.
The room was comfortable and clean and the next morning early Mirjam had coffee ready.
It was a shame I had to leave because I would've happily have stayed there a bit longer.

Miriam and John were very welcoming and the rooms spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was freshly made and very nice indeed. Would recommend and hope to stay again in the future. The B&B is in a good position close to Ballyshannon, Rossknowlagh and Donegal town.

The B&B is only minutes from Rossnowlagh beach and about 10 minute drive to Ballyshannon. Easy to find using google maps.
Everything was just really nice...the room decor (loved the white floorboards), great shower, quiet surroundings, comfy beds, outdoor sitting area. Miriam was very nice and cooked us a lovely breakfast made to order. We also had fruit and cereal and pastries were on offer too. Great price too. Tip: book direct with Miriam for best price.
Great find and will gladly go back.

What a beautiful property, in a beautiful place. The icing on the cake was the hospitality shown us by the owners - I would recommend this as an ideal place to stay in picturesque Donegal.

The property offers stunning views of the surrounding area - right down to the sea. The property is clean and tastefully decorated throughout. Five ginormous stars!
