Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have arrived tired from a long drive and received a warm welcome at Assure House! The room was lovely, it could have been a "chalet", wood everywhere (I love it!). We had a good refreshing sleep. The breakfast was very generous (pancakes are not often included in the full Irish breakfast) and very good! The owners have stayed some time during breakfast to have a wee chat with us which was very much appreciated. A pity we did not stay longer.
A friend of mine is from Ballyshannon and apparently knows them and he said they are a lovely family...and I confirm that!
I wish them all the best with the new business and hope they enjoy the activity !
Thank you so much!

This B&B was exceptional. Spotlessly clean and Uber friendly couple, Harold and Pat. Breakfast was Michelin class with fresh fruit and cooked breakfast.
Highly recommended. Very friendly and welcome rest whilst visiting family.
No complaints of any kind. 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖

We stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast with our 3 teens. It was a great experience and the perfect stopping place for us. Patricia and Harold were so gracious and gave us so much great information for the following day of our trip. Breakfast was really delicious. We enjoyed our conversation with them.

Basic amenities and a plentiful breakfast (although we weren't asked what we wanted and my husband - he is a chef- is convinced the eggs were not fresh; we didn't finish it). Outwardly friendly hosts - but I made the mistake of mentioning a faulty bedside lamp (it was the socket) and difficulty adjusting the water temperature on the shower. I did this as a service to the owner who presumably would want to know so they could look into the issues. I was completely unprepared for a tirade of verbal abuse and name-calling (liar, b***ch), door slamming followed by a ranting text plus a report to Booking.com for "misconduct" in criticising the facilities. We've never experienced anything like it in all our years of travel, in Ireland and around the world. I'd advise all travellers to read the "terrible" reviews for this place, not just the "excellent "ones, as they do contain helpful information.

Probably the worst housing we have ever experienced.

Hosts were not home when we arrived, though we and the other guests advised on our arrival time. They rushed back out as soon as we were let in.

Shared bathroom was very dirty, as was the rest of the home. The kitchen (which we were supposed to eat breakfast from) was the dirtiest and most disorganized I've ever seen. We left before breakfast was served as we absolutely would have been sick.

My in-laws were locked in their unit, repeatedly knocking and calling to be let out. Heat was turned off in the middle of the night.

We are easy to please travellers and will put up with a lot. This is absolutely not suggested.

We stayed in this beautiful b&b late July for one night. We had the beautiful room with its own kitchen. Hosts were so so nice, breakfast was nicer than any 4 star hotel, beautiful fruit salad freshly prepared as well as the usual breakfast menu, would highly recommend this b@b if you are travelling to Ballyshannon.
